Face à la progression de l’épidémie en Chine, Shanghai a été confinée pour au moins dix jours. Pudong et les zones à l’est de la rivière Huangpu l’ont été du 28 mars au 1er avril. L’ouest de la rivière le sera jusque demain mardi.
« Le port de Shanghai fonctionne toujours normalement et il n’y a pas de congestion de navires porte-conteneurs », a confirmé hier la société Shanghai International Port Group Co.
Ce point a été rendu nécessaire suite à une « fausse information » sur une congestion, avec un impact négatif immédiat.
Semaine dernière, le géant danois du transport Maersk s’inquiétait en effet de l’annonce du confinement de Shanghai, qui selon l’armateur, peut gravement pénaliser le transport des marchandises.
« Les services de transports routiers à l’entrée et à la sortie de Shanghai subiront un impact de 30% en raison de la fermeture totale des zones de Pudong et de Puxi à Shanghai jusqu’au 5 avril », avait déclaré Maersk, qui avait fermé ses entrepôts jusqu’à vendredi.
Shanghai confinée
Toujours selon le port, 52 navires sont en attente d’être traités, dont neuf porte-conteneurs. Sur ces neuf navires, quatre sont en attente d’un accostage.
Les transports intérieurs, les entrepôts et certains sites de production fonctionnent, eux, au ralenti. Certains flux commencent à être redirigés, vers Ningbo notamment.
L’annonce du confinement à Shanghai a également impacté l’aéroport de Pudong (PVG). Même si l’activité n’est pas officiellement perturbée, certaines compagnies annulent des vols, comme Cargolux ou China Airlines (notamment vers Los Angeles et Chicago). Certains flux sont redirigés vers Zhengzhou.
