Le Conseil de la concurrence a approuvé la prise du contrôle exclusif de la société «Total Mauritanie S.A» par la société «Akwa Africa S.A» à travers l’acquisition de 100% de son capital social et des droits de vote y afférents.
Réunie le 12 décembre 2022, la commission permanente du Conseil de la concurrence a donné son aval à la prise du contrôle exclusif de la société « Total Mauritanie S.A» par la société « Akwa Africa S.A» à travers l’acquisition de 100% de son capital social et des droits de vote y afférents. Sa décision a été publiée dans la dernière livraison du Bulletin officiel.
Le Conseil de la concurrence avait annoncé, le 3 novembre 2022, avoir été notifié de ce projet de concentration économique. Selon Financial Afrik, le montant de l’acquisition avoisinerait 185 millions de dollars.
Rappelons qu’Akwa Africa est une société d’investissement de droit marocain qui a pour objet de prendre des participations dans des sociétés opérant en Afrique subsaharienne dans l’importation, le stockage, le négoce et la distribution de carburants et lubrifiants, ainsi que l’importation, le stockage, l’emplissage, le négoce et la distribution de GPL (gaz de pétrole liquéfié).
Total Mauritanie est une société de droit mauritanien, filiale de TotalEnergies Marketing Afrique, opérant dans tous les aspects de l’aval pétrolier.
