Ayant joué un rôle majeur dans la réalisation du Train express régional (TER), l’un des plus gigantesques projets d’infrastructures du Sénégal, Mountaga Sy vient d’être nommé nouveau Directeur Général du Port Autonome de Dakar (PAD) en remplacement de Aboubacar Sedikh Beye.
L’ancien Directeur Général de l’Agence pour la Promotion des Investissements et des Grands Travaux (APIX SA) reconnu pour ses compétences, pose ses valises à la direction du PAD. Cet Ingénieur industriel remplace Ababacar Sédikh Beye qui retourne à la tête de la Direction de l’Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie (ANSD) qu’il avait dirigée entre 2014 et 2017. Ce dernier n’ayant pas échappé à la conjoncture économique qui frappe le pays actuellement et dont le Président Macky Sall vient d’annoncer des mesures drastiques à exécuter.
En effet, le Président Macky Sall qui a présidé récemment la réunion de lancement des concertations sur la lutte contre la vie chère a annoncé plusieurs décisions pour une action conjoncturelle et pour des solutions structurelles à apporter à cette question préoccupante.
À cet effet, le chef de l’État compte sur le nouveau patron du PAD, dans le chantier de la résorption du coût de la vie, surtout que l’infrastructure portuaire joue un rôle prépondérant dans l’économie. Jouissant d’une expérience avérée dans le domaine de la supply chain, Mountaga Sy a su coordonner avec abnégation la mise en œuvre des réformes de l’environnement des affaires au sein de l’Apix qui, dans sa mission de promotion des investissements et des grands travaux, est actuellement au cœur du dispositif de mise en œuvre des projets du Plan Sénégal émergent (PSE).
Rappelons que le nouveau DG du PAD est titulaire d’un MBA en Finance et administration de l’université du Québec à Montréal et d’un DEA en Sciences de l’ingénieur de l’ESP (major de promotion). Mountaga Sy est également professeur certifié en sciences et techniques de l’industrie (Bac + 5) à l’ENSETP où il sort major de sa promotion. Des compétences qui lui permettront sans doute d’accompagner la nouvelle équipe gouvernementale chargée de répondre rapidement à la demande sociale.
