Face à la congestion croissante de beaucoup des ports maritimes et fluviaux d’Afrique, les plateformes intérieures deviennent des alternatives efficaces pour réduire la pression occasionnée par l’augmentation des volumes. Les projets de construction se multiplient un peu partout.
Des études de faisabilité seront lancées le 7 juin prochain en vue d’amorcer l’étape de réalisation physique du port sec d’Ebebiyín, localité équato-guinéenne très proche de la triple frontière Gabon-Cameroun-Guinée Équatoriale.
À l’issue d’une rencontre en début de cette semaine entre des experts de la CEMAC et de la société Arise Integrated Industrial Plateforms, il a été dévoilé que cette phase préliminaire va s’étaler sur 11 mois.
La finalisation de l’étude permettra à la commission de la CEMAC de rechercher du financement pour le projet, dont le coût est estimé à environ 787 148 400 FCFA (1,2 million $). Après quoi viendront les étapes d’attribution du marché et de lancement des travaux physiques.
L’infrastructure qui sera érigée à proximité du tripoint entre les pays concernés sera une plateforme multifonctionnelle dotée de plusieurs ouvrages (bâtiments administratifs, poste de pesage, etc.) qui permettront la fourniture de services logistiques intégrés tels que la douane, la manutention, etc.
Son opérationnalisation permettra d’opérer le transfert d’une partie des opérations portuaires, notamment le trafic transit, et de réduire les délais et coûts des post et préacheminements.
