En 2018, Petrofac avait déjà obtenu chez Sonatrach un marché d’ingénierie, d’approvisionnement et de construction d’une valeur de 600 millions de dollars pour mettre en place des infrastructures de production gazière sur Tinrhert.
La firme d’ingénierie britannique Petrofac a annoncé, jeudi 4 août, qu’elle a signé avec la société publique algérienne en charge des hydrocarbures, Sonatrach, un contrat d’ingénierie, d’approvisionnement et de construction (EPC2) budgétisé à 200 millions de dollars.
La transaction est en lien avec les travaux d’expansion du projet Tinrhert, un périmètre gazier producteur, situé au sud-est, dans le bloc Ohanet II et dont Petrofac avait obtenu en 2018, le contrat EPC1 d’une valeur de 600 millions de dollars.
« Nous sommes très heureux d’avoir été informés de cette attribution par Sonatrach, qui reflète leur confiance dans notre capacité à créer de la valeur dans le pays, tout en livrant en toute sécurité une infrastructure énergétique d’importance stratégique », a déclaré Elie Lahoud, l’un des responsables de Petrofac.
Petrofac offrira dans le cadre de ce contrat, essentiellement l’expertise dont elle dispose en matière d’ingénierie pétrogazière pour réaliser l’interconnexion de plusieurs puits épars, dont le nombre n’a pas été précisé, aux infrastructures de traitement de gaz présentes sur le site.
Les installations, dont la mise en service est prévue pour 2023, sont destinées à favoriser, à terme, l’augmentation de la production de gaz sur le périmètre.
Pour atteindre cet objectif, Petrofac travaillera, entre autres, à mettre en place une nouvelle infrastructure de traitement de gaz (CPF) dotée de dispositifs de décarbonation. Une option qui vise à réduire les émissions de CO2 issues de la production gazière.
Notons que ces derniers mois, Petrofac a décroché plusieurs marchés en Afrique, notamment au Ghana, où elle effectuera des travaux de maintenance sur le FPSO Kwame Nkrumah, et au Sénégal dans le cadre du développement du projet Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA).
