Une réunion des Ministres en charge des transports a été organisé à Ouagadougou par la Commission de de l’UEMOA (Union économique monétaire ouest-africaine) d’après une annonce d’un communiqué transmis aux médias.
Il est stipulé dans le texte que cette rencontre d’échange entre les ministres permettra de mettre en service des Postes de Contrôle Juxtaposés (PCJ) de Hilacondji-Sanvee-Condji (frontière entre le Togo et le Bénin), dans les meilleurs délais.
Il en sera de même pour celles qui sont relatives à la mise en exploitation réelle des PCJ de Malanville (frontière entre le Bénin et le Niger), après plus de trois (03) ans d’exploitation expérimentale.
Il faut souligner que la construction des PCJ vise à assurer la fluidité des échanges intracommunautaires, par la réduction des délais de passage aux frontières.
Toutefois, en prélude de cette réunion, une concertation des Ministres en charge des transports du Bénin, du Burkina Faso, du Niger et du Togo est prévue pour échanger sur l’état d’application du Règlement n°14/2005/CM/UEMOA relatif à l’arrangement des normes et des procédures de contrôle du gabarit, du poids et de la charge à l’essieu des véhicules de transport des marchandises.
