C’est ce que la vendredi 7 octobre que la division de transport maritime à courte distance de CMA CGM a annoncé le lancement du nouveau service Butterfly Morocco Shuttle reliant le Maroc, la France et l’Espagne.

Le communiqué indique que ce nouveau service hebdomadaire débute à Agadir, le 10 novembre 2022, en complément du cabotage au Maroc et pour la mise en place d’un pont maritime durable avec Agadir, pour la prochaine campagne d’exportation de fruits et de légumes.

Ce service permet ainsi une baisse de 75% des émissions de CO2 par rapport à l’acheminement traditionnel par camion via ce corridor.

Les principales particularités sont une flotte de deux navires et 1 100 EVP, battant pavillon marocain. Ils sont dotés de 220 prises Reefer / 45’RFH et opéreront la rotation suivante : Agadir / Port Vendres / Barcelone / Algésiras / Tanger Med / Casablanca / Agadir.
