Confrontée à des difficultés depuis plusieurs années, la Cnnii veut rehausser son niveau de performance. À cet effet, la compagnie qui représente l’armement national de droit public en matière de transport des biens et de personnes par voie d’eau, est en quête de partenaires internationaux.
Un accord de partenariat vient d’être signé entre la Compagnie nationale gabonaise de navigation intérieure et le groupe Seamed France, pour consolider sa flotte et ses équipements. Oumarou Baba Toukour, le président du conseil d’administration de la Cnnii a promis que « beaucoup de choses arrivent ».
« Nous attendons notre bateau, le Sette-Cama qui doit réintégrer l’exploitation, des bateaux, des camions vont venir. Bref, toute la logistique qui accompagne la Cnnii dans la réalisation de ses objectifs sera au rendez-vous » a-t-il fait savoir.
Selon la compagnie, ce partenariat va contribuer à dynamiser l’offre publique de transport maritime de fret et de passagers au niveau national et sous régional. Par ailleurs, l’entreprise prévoit de réactiver l’exploitation des lignes fluviales et lagunaires à l’arrêt depuis 2015.
La Cnnii projette de développer l’ensemble des segments d’activités porteurs de croissance dans sa vision stratégique, puis de mettre en place une joint-venture pour pérenniser le nouveau modèle économique et industriel de l’armement national à capitaux publics à moyen et long termes.
La société publique assure notamment la navette entre Libreville et Port-Gentil. Elle a pour responsabilité le développement des activités de transport maritime et en eaux intérieures, apprend-on sur Le Nouveau Gabon.
Cet accord avec Seamed France, spécialisé dans le développement des services liés aux activités navales, a été paraphé après de longues recherches de partenaires. Au final, c’est par l’intermédiation de la société gabonaise Malania Finances & consulting qu’il s’est matérialisé.
