Côte d’Ivoire terminal, concessionnaire du nouveau terminal à conteneurs du port d’Abidjan, a réalisé avec succès, du 12 au 14 octobre 2022, sa première escale test en accueillant le porte-conteneurs MSC Floriana.
Cet exercice a permis d’évaluer, après 50 heures de travail, les opérations de déchargement et de chargement du navire par les portiques de quai et le traitement des conteneurs sur le parc, grâce aux portiques RTG et aux tracteurs électriques Gaussin.
L’évaluation a également concerné l’ensemble des systèmes notamment le Terminal Operating System (TOS) interfacé avec les systèmes de facturation et de douane. Elle a également permis de tester les moyens de communication, la synchronisation des mouvements des camions et les interactions entre les services de Côte d’Ivoire Terminal et les clients, jugés tous satisfaisants.

Le succès de cette opération démontre la capacité de nos équipements et de nos équipes à répondre et traiter les demandes de nos clients. C’est donc une étape importante qui vient rassurer l’ensemble de nos partenaires et futurs clients avant la mise en service du terminal. », a déclaré Olivier De Noray, Directeur général des Ports et Terminaux.
Ces tests interviennent à un mois du lancement des opérations du nouveau terminal à conteneurs du Port d’Abidjan. Ce deuxième terminal, au cœur des échanges commerciaux dans l’espace sous régional, intègre dans sa conception tous les aspects environnementaux et obtiendra prochainement le label « Green Terminal » délivré par Bureau Veritas.
À propos de Côte d’Ivoire Terminal
Après un appel d’offres international, le consortium Bolloré Ports et APM Terminals s’est vu confier la construction et la gestion du 2e terminal à conteneurs du Port d’Abidjan. Grâce à un investissement de plus de 262 milliards de FCFA, les travaux de construction du futur terminal s’achèveront en fin 2022.
D’une superficie de 37,5 hectares, il sera capable de traiter plus d’1,5 millions de conteneurs EVP par an et d’accueillir des navires de 16 mètres de tirant d’eau sur 1 100 mètres de quais. Le projet va en outre générer 450 emplois directs et des milliers d’emplois indirects. Il contribuera au développement des compétences et à la formation de la jeunesse ivoirienne aux métiers portuaires.
