GTS poursuit sa dynamique de relance du transport ferroviaire au Sénégal en paraphant une nouvelle convention de partenariat avec la société Rites-Ltd basée en Inde pour la livraison des réversibles qui composent son parc de trains.
Dans le cadre de la relance du transport ferroviaire au Sénégal, le Directeur Général de GTS-SA, M Samba Ndiaye a signé le 07 juin 2022 avec le Directeur Exécutif de la Société RITES-LTD, un protocole de partenariat en présence de M. Mayacine Camara, Secrétaire d’État chargé du Réseau Ferroviaire.
Il faut rappeler que la société RITES-Ltd est une structure publique Indienne qui a livré à GTS-SA ( ex PTB), la quasi-totalité de son parc de trains, dont les 4 les plus récents, dénommés les Réversibles, ont été livrés en 2012.
Il y a également à travers cette synergie, la volonté du DG, Samba NDIAYE de mettre en marche les importants équipements neufs de réparation de trains, acquis en 2011, stockés dans les ateliers de la société jamais utilisés.
Déjà, le 19 mai passé à Ndiassane et Tivaoune, en compagnie de la PCA de GTS-SA et de ses collaborateurs, ils ont procédé à une cérémonie symbolique de lancement des travaux de construction des abris voyageurs de ces 2 localités religieuses.
C’était sous la bénédiction du Porte-Parole Serigne Abdourahmane Kounta et de Serigne Moustapha Sy Al Amine . Par la suite, s’était tenue une réunion avec M. le Préfet , le Maire de Tivaoune et le représentant de la Présidente du Conseil départemental.
Il faut également rappeler que GTS a récemment envoyé une délégation composée de techniciens pour un stage pratique à l’IFF (institut de formation ferroviaire du Maroc).
