Since it was founded, SENTRAK LOGISTICS has been committed to a policy of sustainable development, despite the challenges of limited resources that a company less than 10 years old can face in developing its business while controlling environmental flows

The management of SENTRAK LOGISTICS is committed to developing an integrated management system that includes environmental management.

This proactive approach guarantees control of environmental aspects/impacts and enables the company to plan for continuous improvement of its environmental and social management plan.

The company rigorously monitors its legal and regulatory compliance obligations in terms of environmental management, starting with the international conventions ratified by Senegal, current environmental laws, decrees and ministerial orders.

Each year, the management of SENTRAK LOGISTICS defines specific objectives aimed at improving environmental performance in a controlled manner with the help of performance indicators for each objective.

The management of SENTRAK LOGISTICS has put in place competent human resources to plan and implement activities to promote the prevention, conservation and sustainability of natural resources in order to reduce our environmental impact.

The team in charge of this mission ensures that the company's environmental requirements are communicated to new employees during their induction process. Face-to-face awareness-raising activities are regularly organised for all staff, with a variety of themes in line with our environmental objectives.

The management of SENTRAK LOGISTICS has set up partnerships with service providers approved by the DEEC (Direction de l'Environnement et des Etablissements Classées) to handle hazardous waste from our activities, such as printer cartridges and hazardous solid waste that we handle as part of our activities as ship's agent.

In 2023, the company set up a consumption monitoring system to control energy consumption and the company's carbon footprint across its various activities.

Recently, also in 2023, the company adopted a segregation approach to the waste generated by its activities. This international best practice has been adopted by the management of SENTRAK LOGISTICS with a view to achieving a "ZERO MBEUBEUSS" objective from 2027.

To ensure continuous improvement, management reviews the effectiveness and suitability of the management system at defined intervals, in accordance with the ISO 14001: 2015 standard, which is an integral part of our integrated management system.
