Le Maroc va lancer une ligne maritime régulière commune avec le port de Huelva durant le premier trimestre de la nouvelle année. L’annonce a été faite par Pilar Miranda, la présidente de l’autorité portuaire espagnole.
Miranda avait déjà expliqué que la nouvelle ligne avec le Maroc sera lancée dès le premier trimestre de cette année et celle avec le Royaume-Uni, probablement avant l’été. C’était lors de la présentation du bilan de l’année écoulée.
Le port de Huelva a connu une hausse de 2,5 % par rapport à l’année précédente, terminant l’année 2021 avec un volume total de trafic de plus de 30,5 millions de tonnes. Son chiffre d’affaires ayant dépassé 43,7 millions d’euros, soit 2,1 % de plus qu’en 2020, détaille Miranda.
Elle ajoute par ailleurs que « L’élaboration d’un plan d’investissement a permis d’augmenter la capacité de nos infrastructures et d’assurer plus d’efficacité dans les opérations portuaires ».
Pilar Miranda précise que Huelva s’est positionnée comme « leader du système portuaire espagnol en matière de transport de passagers et de marchandises avec les îles Canaries ».
La présidente de l’Autorité portuaire assure que « plus de 77 millions d’euros ont été investis dans le renforcement des infrastructures afin de renforcer la compétitivité du port de Huelva » et annonce des travaux d’extension de la jetée sud de 525 mètres pour un montant de 33 millions d’euros.
Le port de Huelva a renouvelé l’ensemble du réseau routier ferroviaire en interne pour faciliter le transport dans sa zone de service pour maintenir la connectivité, prévoyant aussi d’engager d’autres travaux de modernisation de ses infrastructures au cours de l’année.
