DHL Express is inaugurating a new daily air service between Marseille and Algiers for D+1 delivery.

Following the opening of a shop in Marseille last June, DHL Express has identified Algeria as the 3rd most popular destination for its local customers, alongside France and the United States.

The express operator has therefore decided to open an air service between Marseille and Algiers, with a daily flight from Monday to Thursday. This new route guarantees shippers delivery to the Algerian capital on D+1, subject to specific customs deadlines.

"With more than 25,000 parcels transported every day and a 9% growth in import-export volumes between 2019 and 2022, the Southern region (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) is an important area for the development of international trade. Our new shop, inaugurated in June in Marseille, was a further step in strengthening our presence in the region.

As an extension to this development, the launch of a new cargo route linking Marseille to Algiers will complement the links already established to Tunisia and Libya, which are connected to Marseille-Provence Airport," comments Philippe Prétat, CEO of DHL Express France.
