The express operator has enhanced its MyGTS online platform, which uses artificial intelligence to automate customs procedures and calculate shipment costs.

DHL Express enhances its "My Global Trade Services" (MyGTS) online platform with AI, helping to simplify international shipping for its customers and speed up the processing of cross-border shipments.

MyGTS provides companies shipping goods internationally with information on export and import requirements for customs clearance.

Users can now find out about customs formalities, estimated costs on arrival and understand regulatory requirements prior to shipment.

The platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide customers with the Harmonized System (HS) codes needed to ship their items, using keywords or the code directory. According to DHL, this innovation also makes it easier to calculate the estimated costs of a shipment, taking customs duties and taxes into account.

"When redesigning MyGTS, our aim was to make the online platform as ergonomic as possible. By enabling users to find out about customs formalities in advance, we speed up the shipping process.

This enables online stores to build confidence with their end customers and secure their future in a highly competitive environment," says Caroline Delarue, IT Director, DHL Express France.
