The time it takes for goods to arrive in Moroccan ports will be reduced as a result of the dematerialisation of the process for submitting and managing applications for approval of models of measuring instruments. From April 1, these applications must be submitted exclusively via the PortNet one-stop shop.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and PortNet have announced the launch of a new online service for submitting applications for approval of measuring instrument models.

The new solution is part of the ongoing efforts to simplify and integrate the end-to-end logistics and foreign trade chains via the PortNet single window, and is part of the action plan of the National Coordination Commission for the Facilitation of Foreign Trade Procedures, said the Ministry and PortNet in a joint press release.

This new service, which will come into effect on 1 April 2024, will help to make import operations easier and more fluid, thereby reducing the time it takes for goods to arrive, the same source added. It should also be noted that from 1 April 2024, all applications for approval of models of measuring instruments must be submitted exclusively via the PortNet one-stop shop.
