Neemba Group, through its Ivory Coast subsidiary Neemba Côte d'Ivoire, formerly known as Manutention Africaine Côte d'Ivoire, is inaugurating its regional Material warehouse in Abidjan on Wednesday February 14, 2024. This logistics platform, designed to serve all players in the mining, energy and public works sectors in the West African zone, is part of the group's commitment to actively participate in the development of the sub-region.

Founded in 1935, Neemba Côte d'Ivoire, a pioneer and leader in the sale and after-sales of mining, civil engineering and industrial equipment, is the Ivorian subsidiary of the Neemba Group. A key industrial player with a network spanning 11 countries in West Africa, Neemba Group has represented the CATERPILLAR brand for over 90 years.

Following the buyout of the company by Ivorian entrepreneur Jean Luc Konan in 2022, Neemba has embarked on a strategic repositioning aimed at strengthening its foothold on the African continent. In line with this approach, the company is today inaugurating a regional stock of equipment based in Abidjan, which will be available to all its customers in the West African zone.

This regional stock, worth 20 billion FCFA including orders in progress, is the fruit of a strategic partnership with Jalo Logistics, an Ivorian company whose ambition is to become a pillar of pan-African logistics.

"We are proud to provide an offering that will support economic growth and innovation in the region. This regional stockpile will be a valuable asset for our customers, giving them immediate access to a full range of quality equipment for their projects," said Jean Luc Konan, CEO of the Neemba Group.

The stock presented by Neemba Group will have an annual capacity of 500 machines and 1,000 generators from Cat, Sem, Manitou and Teksan. It will considerably reduce equipment lead times, from the initial 30-45 days to 7 days for Côte d'Ivoire and less than 25 days for other countries in the West African zone. It will be made available to players in the construction, mining, energy and industry sectors in Côte d'Ivoire and throughout West Africa.

"With this new regional stock of equipment, Neemba Côte d'Ivoire aims to make Abidjan a focal point for companies and professionals in the mining and public works sector in West Africa, by providing an offer that meets the growing needs throughout the sub-region," explains Daniel Pahidewinde, Country Manager of Neemba Côte d'Ivoire.
