As part of the expansion of its global network, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, a leader in maritime transport and logistics, is proud to announce the inauguration of its new office in Chad. This symbolic milestone was celebrated in N'Djamena, in the presence of distinguished guests.

This new location reflects MSC's commitment to improving its intermodal services in Africa, particularly for landlocked countries such as Chad, with the aim of securing and strengthening supply chains and trade.

The opening of this office marks a crucial step in MSC's efforts to link Chad more effectively to the global market, offering comprehensive logistics solutions that meet the unique needs of the region.

Chad relies on safe and reliable links with the nearest seaport, the port of Douala in neighboring Cameroon. MSC's new office in Chad is strategically positioned to create essential intermodal links within the country, fostering local growth and supporting the economy.

Kawia Degueya, Agency Manager at MSC Chad, underlined the importance of these intermodal transport solutions, saying: "Intermodal solutions are more important than ever, especially for landlocked countries like Chad. Safe and reliable links with the nearest seaport are essential. In this case, it's the port of Douala in Cameroon.

MSC's intermodal approach combines sea and road transport, simplifying the shipment of goods to and from Chad and the Central African Republic (CAR).

Imported goods are transported from the port of Douala via MSC maritime services, in direct liaison with road transport services to the main destinations, notably N'Djamena and Bangui.

"Our aim is always to provide a comprehensive and reliable service to our customers. As Douala is naturally the port of entry for supplies to Chad and CAR, we knew we had to offer a complete solution to help customers move goods not only to the port, but also across borders," adds Mr Degueya.

This expansion is in line with MSC's commitment to invest in Africa's economic development by recruiting local experts, enabling privileged contact with Chadian traders, and improving the infrastructure so that transactions can be carried out from an MSC office.

The existing intermodal line simplifies access to the global market for Chad and CAR, facilitating international trade and promoting opportunities for economic growth.

Kader Lo, General Manager of MSC Cameroon, said in his speech: "Our expansion reflects our commitment to the growth of the continent and its people, as well as our desire to better serve our customers and meet their needs. The new office is not only a physical space that will warmly welcome our customers and partners, but also a testament to the hard work, dedication and collaborative spirit of the different teams in Chad and Cameroon."

With this new office in Chad, MSC continues to strengthen intra-continental connections, facilitate global trade and contribute to Africa's promising future.
