These partnerships should help strengthen the development of the 3 targeted transport segments, and facilitate the transfer of skills and technologies.

Morocco has signed a cooperation agreement and two memorandums of understanding with Egypt to promote road safety, rail transport and maritime navigation. The agreements were signed on the occasion of the 2023 edition of the Middle East and Africa Trade Fair for Intelligent and Green Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics (TransMEA), held in Egypt from November 5 to 8.

The memorandum of understanding on road safety covers cooperation in the promotion of scientific research, capacity building and the development of strategies to support and integrate innovative technologies in this field.

The convention on rail transport aims to define a general framework for bilateral cooperation in this field. It covers network development, rolling stock, railway engineering, signalling, rail operations, freight transport, digitalization of the sector and improved management systems.

The latest agreement aims to consolidate cooperation and complementarity between the two countries in the field of maritime transport for the implementation of the International Convention on Standards of Training and Certification of Seafarers.

On the continent today, both countries are pioneers in the development of these modes of transport, with models based on today's modern requirements.
