Le groupe Deutsche Post DHL et Ford Pro viennent de conclure un accord pour déployer un maximum de fourgons électriques dans le monde, dans un objectif de neutralité carbone de leurs activités.
D’ici fin 2023, Deutsche Post DHL recevra 2 000 fourgons de livraison Ford E-Transit pour effectuer ses livraisons dans le monde entier.
Ford Pro et le groupe allemand ont également conclu un accord portant sur l’accélération du déploiement de l’électrique sur le dernier kilomètre, sur l’accès aux solutions d’exploitation de cette flotte électrique, dont le logiciel E-Télématique connecté de Ford Pro, ainsi qu’aux solutions de recharge.
“Ford Pro et Deutsche Post DHL Group ont un objectif commun : celui de tendre vers plus de durabilité et d’utiliser des véhicules électriques, révèle Hans Schep, directeur général de Ford Pro Europe. Cet accord est une étape majeure qui permettra bientôt d’effectuer des millions de livraisons avec des véhicules électriques sur tous les continents.”
Optimiser le temps de fonctionnement, le service et la productivité
L’objectif est bien sûr de livrer plus propre, mais aussi d’optimiser le temps de fonctionnement, le service et la productivité. “L’électrification de la logistique du dernier kilomètre est un pilier majeur pour décarboniser nos opérations.
L’ajout du nouveau Ford E-Transit à notre flotte mondiale d’environ 27 000 fourgons électriques renforce encore notre capacité à fournir des services de livraison écologiques dans le monde entier”, explique Anna Spinelli, directrice des achats et responsable mobilité, du groupe Deutsche Post DHL.
Ford souhaite atteindre la neutralité carbone dans la vente de véhicules et ne plus émettre d’émissions carbone tant dans ses usines que pour sa logistique en Europe d’ici 2035 et dans le monde d’ici 2050.
Quant à Deutsche Post DHL, le groupe s’apprête à investir 7 milliards d’euros d’ici à 2030 pour atteindre un impact neutre de ses livraisons et à s’équiper de 60 % de véhicules électriques. Il est aussi question dans l’accord de développement en commun de produits, de solutions numériques et de recharge.
