Le port de Motril sera relié à Tanger Med par une nouvelle route maritime pour le transport de passagers
La ligne inaugurée le 30 novembre entre les ports de Motril, à Grenade, et Tanger, grâce à la compagnie Balearia, sera dédiée au transport de passagers entre le pays nord-africain et la côte péninsulaire. La nouvelle route servira à renforcer le reste des routes maritimes qui relient les deux nations, cette route étant l’une des plus utilisées par les touristes espagnols et du royaume alaouite. La compagnie Balearia offrira à ses clients un trafic quotidien de passagers via le navire “Volcán de Tauce”, qui a une capacité d’environ 1 100 personnes.
Cette route maritime a été lancée après une longue attente due à la pandémie de coronavirus. Cette route maritime offre de nombreux avantages car elle devient une autre entrée et sortie pour le trafic de marchandises. En outre, le port de Motril se caractérise par un bilan commercial très positif, en effet, les exportations représentent déjà 42% de ses opportunités de vente. Le port de Motril est également desservi par les lignes reliant Nador et Al Hoceima via la ligne Transmediterranea. Cette route sera synonyme d’un grand élan économique et d’un nouvel éventail pour le développement de nouvelles opportunités d’importation et d’exportation.
Le transport maritime reste l’un des piliers essentiels pour de nombreuses entreprises, surtout lorsqu’il s’agit de gros volumes de marchandises. C’est pourquoi ce port commercial, situé à Grenade, joue un rôle clé grâce à ses infrastructures et à sa magnifique situation géographique. Motril se caractérise par le fait d’être un port commercial, ainsi qu’un port de pêche et de sport, avec une accessibilité directe grâce à ses bonnes communications terrestres. Il est géré par l’autorité portuaire de Motril et est considéré comme un port d’intérêt général de l’État. Cette initiative s’ajoute à d’autres actions similaires qui ont été mises en œuvre ces dernières années.
La ligne régulière fonctionne grâce au trafic connu sous le nom de ro-ro, c’est-à-dire le transport de camions chargés de marchandises quittant l’Espagne pour être exportées vers l’Afrique et dans le sens inverse. D’énormes quantités de produits sont acheminées depuis le Maroc, des fruits et légumes aux automobiles, en passant par les marchandises des géants du textile tels qu’Inditex et Mango, pour autant que les autorités portuaires et douanières le permettent. Principalement, la ligne reliant la péninsule au Maroc était exploitée par la société allemande FRS jusqu’en 2018. Après la pandémie, tout s’est arrêté et l’entreprise a emporté sa flotte avec elle, car jusqu’à présent elle n’a pas pu récupérer tous ses investissements.
Actuellement, l’enclave portuaire de Tanger Med s’étend sur 1 000 hectares et est divisée en deux terminaux et le port de passagers, avec des quais d’embarquement, des zones de contrôle et la station maritime. En outre, cette plateforme logistique est reliée à 186 ports dans le monde et peut accueillir neuf millions de conteneurs et sept millions de passagers. La réactivation de la ligne maritime avec l’Afrique du Nord est un atout pour le transport de marchandises. En ce qui concerne les départs de Motril, le ferry a une rotation quotidienne, ils auront lieu à midi. La ligne fonctionnait, mais sans passagers.
La levée des restrictions dues au coronavirus permet à Motril de rester un port de référence, non seulement pour l’Espagne, mais aussi pour le centre de l’Europe. Selon le président de la société Balearia, José García Fuentes, “cette nouvelle est très favorable, de sorte que notre société a pu rouvrir son bureau à Grenade avec le personnel adéquat pour répondre aux besoins des clients.
