STVM, a Heppner subcontractor based in western France, is to run 5 trucks on organic fuel, using coc100 produced from rapeseed oil. An example of partial fleet conversion for the energy transition.

On March 22, the agricultural cooperative Centre Ouest Céréales signed a contract with Heppner and its subcontractor, the carrier STVM, for the coc100 biofuel production site at Chalandray (Vienne). This agro-industrial site produces 100,000 tonnes of rapeseed oil a year, part of which is esterified into coc100. B100 biofuel.

The cooperative will now be able to supply coc100 biofuel. This commercial brand of B100 is intended for the captive fleets of transport professionals and local authorities. Validated by the four main truck manufacturers, coc100 enables transport operators to :

  • reduce CO2 emissions by 60% compared with diesel,
  • reduce particulate emissions

5 trucks concerned. Four trucks, retrofitted Mercedes rigids, are currently being powered in this way, and a new Scania 460 R is joining them.

Three tanks for coc100. Heppner has provided STVM with land to install a 30 m3 tank at its Laval site (Mayenne), and another 10 m3 at Le Mans (Sarthe). STVM has also decided to install one at its main site in Vaiges (Mayenne).

A family-run business. STVM is a family-run road haulage company, founded in 1994. The company has two sites, in Vaiges (Mayenne) and Moncé-en-Belin (Sarthe). It employs 25 people and is forecasting sales of 2.4 million euros in 2022.
