Côte d'Ivoire Terminal, a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL) and concession holder for the Port of Abidjan's second container terminal, was awarded the 3-star Green Terminal label on May 26, 2023, the highest score in this environmental certification.

According to the press release, Côte d'Ivoire Terminal is the tenth port concession to be awarded the AGL Group's label, and the first to achieve a score of over 90%.

The document also states that the label awarded by Bureau Veritas "attests to the low impact of the company's activities on the environment". "Bureau Veritas experts assessed the company through an audit based on the eight pillars of the "Green Terminal" certification process developed by AGL. These include assessing operational processes, the construction of infrastructure in line with international standards, waste management, employee training, and the proper management of environmental issues," explained, among other things, the press release. "

Obtaining the Green Terminal label is proof of Côte d'Ivoire Terminal's commitment to reducing its impact on the environment. This label certifies our responsible approach and encourages us to continue our efforts to make our terminal an example", said Koen De Backker, Managing Director of Côte d'Ivoire Terminal.

"The Port of Abidjan is delighted that Côte d'Ivoire Terminal has been awarded Green Terminal certification. This certification, which comes a year after that of the Port of Abidjan's first container terminal, confirms the port's commitment to sustainable development", said Hien Yacouba Sié, General Manager of the Port Autonome d'Abidjan.
