This aircraft is the third 777F to be operated for MSC's airfreight solution.

November 30, 2023 - Atlas Air, Inc. a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. announced today that it has taken delivery of a Boeing 777 Freighter, which it will operate on behalf of its customer MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, under a previously announced long-term ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) agreement.

This is the third of four Boeing 777 Freighters that Atlas Air will operate for MSC, complementing the existing weekly service and adding an additional route between Hong Kong (HKG) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). The fourth aircraft is scheduled for delivery later this year.

"The delivery of this new 777 freighter is a proud moment for Atlas and a testament to our long-term strategic partnership with MSC," said Richard Broekman, Atlas Air Worldwide's Commercial Director and Head of Sustainability.

"We are proud to support the continued expansion of MSC's airfreight solution by offering additional speed, flexibility and reliability to their existing network. We look forward to the entry into service of this third 777 Freighter for MSC, and welcome the arrival of the fourth later this year.

"This latest 777 Freighter delivery is a strategic addition to our MSC airfreight fleet, enabling us to meet the ever-changing demands of the market and reinforce our commitment to improving business relationships for our customers. We are driven by innovation and determined to keep pace with digital transformation while providing airfreight with superior services worldwide," said Jannie Davel, Senior Vice President, Airfreight, MSC.

MSC enters the airfreight industry with the longest and highest-performing twin-engine freighter, known for its high reliability, fuel efficiency and low maintenance and operating costs. The 777 Freighter has a range of 4,970 nautical miles (9,200 km) and a maximum structural payload of 235,900 pounds (107 tonnes).

The 777 Freighter also meets quota standards for maximum accessibility to noise-sensitive airports worldwide.
