Dans le but d’accompagner la hausse des volumes au Port de Pointe-Noire, Congo Terminal, filiale de Bolloré Ports poursuit les travaux de modernisation du Port de Pointe-Noire. La filiale vient de franchir une nouvelle étape avec la réception des travaux d’extension des terre-pleins du quai D.
Estimé à 3 milliards de F CFA soit environ 5 millions d’euros, ces travaux engagés il y a de cela un an ont permis d’accroître de 3,5 hectares les surfaces de stockage pour être en phase avec la hausse continuelle du volume des marchandises traités après une année record réalisée par Congo Terminal avec plus d’un million d’EVP (Équivalent Vingt Pied) traités.
Après avoir reconstruit en 2017, 700 mètres linéaires du quai D et un terre-plein de 3 hectares, ces travaux d’extension des terre-pleins du quai D ont été réalisés par une entreprise congolaise. Ces travaux s’inscrivent en effet dans le plan d’investissement destiné à faire du port de Pointe-Noire la porte océane de l’Afrique.
Ayant investi plus de 250 milliards de F CFA depuis 13 ans pour améliorer aussi bien ses infrastructures que ses équipements, Congo Terminal a considérablement amélioré sa productivité.
On peut observer sur ce nouvel espace de stockage de même que tous les autres terre-pleins l’implantation de mâts d’éclairage à LED qui marque l’engagement environnemental de Congo Terminal à prendre en compte l’impact environnemental de ses activités confirmant ainsi son respect des principes du processus « Green Terminal » de Bolloré Ports auquel il a adhéré en Juin 2021.
