The household appliance manufacturer is teaming up with Agediss to offer 2-hour delivery slots even before the order is confirmed on its e-commerce site.

The possibility of displaying delivery slots before confirming an online purchase is a practice that is becoming widespread on e-commerce platforms, but remains rare on manufacturers' e-commerce sites, particularly for high-volume products.

By teaming up with logistics provider Agediss, Whirlpool aims to set itself apart by offering this kind of service to its online customers.

The brand relies on the delivery service offered by Agediss, which has developed a technology interfaced with Whirlpool's e-commerce site and Descartes' planning software, enabling possible two-hour delivery slots to be displayed in the shopping basket just before a product is paid for.

"E-buyers can select 2-hour slots at the start of the purchase process, even before confirming their order," says Agediss in a press release.

"This new solution opens up new opportunities in the retail sector by anticipating customer needs. Customer experience is a strategic issue for Whirlpool, and we're delighted to be able to offer this option, which meets our objective of improving our customers' daily lives with ever more effective products and services," adds Jacques Fattier, Whirlpool's Logistics Director for France.
