As of Monday April 15, Customs will begin operating its services at the Tanger Med port on a 24/7 basis.

Starting on Monday April 15, the Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (ADII) will be implementing a new work organization designed to ensure the continuous operation of customs services at the port of Tangier Med, says the administration in a press release.

"This measure, taken in consultation with port authorities and the private sector, is fully in line with Customs' policy of supporting companies", notes ADII.

The aim, she explains, is to enhance the fluidity of goods clearance operations and further reduce customs clearance times, in order to support the competitiveness of exporting companies and help improve the productivity of international transport operators.

From the date indicated, customs clearance operations will be handled in full at Tanger Med, at any time of day, 7 days a week.

To ensure the success of this "business-friendly initiative", Customs has announced that it has taken all the necessary steps to reinforce and mobilize its workforce at the port, and to adapt its work organization to meet the requirements of this new operating mode. To this end, the customs administration is appealing to economic operators to organize themselves accordingly.
