Manhattan Active Supply Chain Planning is a new version of the company's APS, which uses the same open software architecture as its WMS, TMS and OMS. At the same time, Manhattan enriches its offer with generative AI functionalities.

Manhattan Associates now offers a complete cloud-native software suite, built on the same Manhattan Active technology platform, based on micro-service components that can be deployed à la carte.

The latest software brick to make the transition to cloud-native, Active Supply Chain Planning enables integrated planning with supply chain execution: "the ability to coordinate with solutions such as OMS, WMS and TMS is a real step forward. Inventory, labor and transportation planning can now be approached jointly to ensure that the whole organization reaps the maximum benefits," explains Scott Fenwick, Senior Director of Product Management at Manhattan Associates.

Manhattan Active Supply Chain Planning also features the use of AI to combine external data sources with internal models to produce more accurate and actionable demand forecasts.

In another announcement, the new APS, along with the rest of the "Active" software suite, will be able to benefit from new generative AI-based functionalities. The new Manhattan Assist solution leverages GenAI to produce context-sensitive answers "to all questions related to product features, API structures and more", according to a release from the publisher.

This solution also provides natural language synthesis. At the same time, a GenAI-based chatbot, Manhattan Active Maven, now equips the in-house OMS to enhance the pre- and post-purchase customer experience.
