For the second year running, the Fédération Nationale des Transports Routiers (FNTR) and the EthiFinance rating agency have awarded labels to companies committed to CSR. This year, 59 companies have been awarded the label. The ceremony took place on October 16 at the Ministry of Ecological Transition, in the presence of Clément Beaune, Minister Delegate for Transport.

Paris, October 16th. 59 entrepreneurs who, together with their teams, have embarked on a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, gathered for the 2023 Transport & Logistique Responsables trophies, awarded by the FNTR.

For transport companies. "We realized that no ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) label was adapted to the transport sector, or even to small companies. We built our label with EthiFinance so that it would be adapted to our activity", explains Florence Berthelot, FNTR's general delegate.

The label also takes into account the size of the company, as the challenges and achievements are not of the same nature. Whether in human resources (gender equality, inclusion, etc.) or the environment (water treatment, waste management, use of biofuels, etc.), the label explores every action taken. Out of 72 companies registered in 2023, 59 have been awarded the label.

Extra-financial performance. The aim of the label is to enable companies to obtain official, independent recognition of their extra-financial performance, so that they can promote it to their institutional, financial and commercial partners.

A photo with the Minister! The ceremony took place at the Hôtel de Roquelaure in Paris, the ministerial headquarters. Clément Beaune, Minister Delegate for Transport, presented Luc Bouillon with the gold trophy for companies with fewer than 10 employees.

Due to his busy schedule, the Minister was unable to stay until the end of the ceremony, but took the time to support the initiative: "This second edition marks the attractiveness, importance and expectations surrounding this label".

However, some hauliers regretted not being able to discuss current difficulties with the Minister, such as fuel prices and social dumping.

Testimonial

Alexendre Petit, President of Transports Jourdan, winner in the category for companies with fewer than 250 employees:

"CSR is our day-to-day business, and the label enables us to structure our approach. We realized that we were carrying out many social and environmental actions. For example, we have set up eco-grazing with sheep on our site, and we have also installed beehives.

On the social side, we worked on the safety aspect. We're going to start by communicating internally about this label - it's a great source of pride - and also with our customers and financial partners.
