CEVA makes CO2-free last-mile deliveries in Rouen and the surrounding area, using cargo bikes and electric vans.

CEVA Logistics has signed a partnership with Citéliv, a French specialist in environmentally-friendly urban logistics, to handle last-mile deliveries in Rouen using electrically-assisted cargo bikes.

The vehicles are used for deliveries within Rouen and its inner suburbs, while electric vans are preferred to serve other communes or when deliveries exceed 200 kg.

With an average of 25 daily deliveries to its BtoB customers, CEVA estimates that 27 tonnes of CO2 emissions are avoided each year. With Rouen, CEVA Logistics has now deployed its carbon-free cyclologistics solutions in 10 French cities.

"The development of partnerships with national or local players specializing in last-mile logistics and operating with low-CO2-emission means of transport illustrates our desire to offer our customers more sustainable solutions, in the same way as we are reducing emissions for all our road freight operations," commented Frédéric Itri, Ground & Rail France Director at CEVA Logistics.
