Au troisième trimestre, le géant français du transport maritime CMA CGM a annoncé un bénéfice net de 7 milliards de dollars, en hausse de 25 % sur un an mais en léger recul comparé au trimestre précédent avec 7,6 milliards de bénéfices.
Le chiffre d’affaires s’élève à 19,91 milliards de dollars (+ 30 % par rapport à la même période l’année dernière). L’armateur se prépare toutefois à une fin d’année plus compliquée, en raison de l’explosion des prix de l’énergie et à l’inflation.
« Nous observons actuellement une baisse de la demande qui conduit à une normalisation des échanges économiques internationaux et une baisse significative des taux de fret », a indiqué le PDG du groupe, Rodolphe Saadé, dans le communiqué de résultats du groupe.
Ces derniers mois, CMA CGM a annoncé investir ses profits record notamment dans la décarbonation du fret en général.
