Un résultat qui confirme le leadership du géant du transport maritime et acteur incontournable au niveau mondial et consolide la position de ce hub majeur pour les grandes alliances maritimes mondiales menées respectivement par Maersk Line, CMA CGM et Hapag Lloyd.
Tanger Med continue sur sa dynamique de performance et l’année 2021 n’échappe pas à la règle. C’est un nouveau record qui a été établi avec le traitement de 7 millions de conteneurs.
Selon les responsables de Tanger Med, ce trafic résulte de l’augmentation en régime continu du port Tanger Med 2 après le démarrage successif des terminaux TC4 en 2019 puis TC3 en 2021.
De ce fait, il est noté dans le rapport un total de 7 173 870 conteneurs EVP (Equivalent Vingt Pieds) qui ont été traités dans le complexe portuaire Tanger Med, en croissance de 24% par rapport à 2020.
Ce résultat vient consolider la position de ce hub majeur pour les grandes alliances maritimes mondiales menées respectivement par Maersk Line, CMA CGM et Hapag Lloyd.
S’agissant du tonnage près de 101 054 713 tonnes de marchandises ont été manutentionnées pour la première fois dans le complexe portuaire Tanger Med, en croissance de 25% par rapport à 2020.
Le tonnage ainsi traité par le complexe portuaire Tanger Med représente plus de 50% du tonnage global manutentionné par l’ensemble des ports du Maroc.
Le rapport stipule en ce qui concerne le trafic routier, le complexe portuaire a traité 407 459 camions TIR en 2021, en croissance de 14 % par rapport à 2020.
Ce trafic a principalement été porté par la reprise des exportations industrielles, ainsi que par la bonne performance de la campagne agricole et des exports agro-industriels.
Une hausse en continu
Les performances réalisées pendant l’année 2021 traduisent la position du complexe portuaire en tant que hub stratégique majeur, ainsi que son rôle clef en tant que plateforme logistique privilégiée au service de la compétitivité logistique nationale.
Ces réalisations sont le fruit de la collaboration continue de l’ensemble des partenaires du complexe portuaire Tanger Med et notamment les armateurs, les concessionnaires, les autorités locales et les administrations concernées, d’après les notes du rapport.
Et 2022 annonce de belles perspectives notamment avec l’ouverture, en ce mois de janvier, du troisième campus 1337 Med, porté par le Groupe Tanger Med, en partenariat avec l’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P).
L’école 42, quant à elle ouvrira ses portes dans la zone d’activité de Tétouan Shore, à proximité de Cabo Negro. Le campus d’une superficie de 2 000m2, abritera par contre 3 Cluster, équipés de 210 iMAC de dernière génération ainsi que des espaces détente et de rencontre.

Par ailleurs, la plateforme industrielle, maintenue au complexe portuaire Tanger Med, bénéficie d’atouts importants et assure une proposition de valeur en lien avec les attentes d’acteurs globaux.
