Le groupe Alstom vient d’annoncer la nomination de Mehdi Sahel au poste de managing director d’Alstom Maroc. Basé à Casablanca, il sera chargé d’exécuter la stratégie d’Alstom in Motion (AiM), de l’expansion de l’activité et de la supervision de la performance de l’entreprise.
Un nouveau managing director vient d’être nommé à la tête d’Alstom Maroc. Ingénieur de formation et diplômé en systèmes de communication, de l’Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Mehdi Sahel a désormais pour mission d’accroître l’activité du groupe et de superviser sa performance commerciale et opérationnelle.
«Mehdi Sahel a occupé avec succès des postes de direction générale au sein de nombreuses entreprises de renommée internationale, notamment dans les secteurs bancaire, technologique et de conseil en management.
Il possède plus de deux décennies d’expérience dans la région comme en Europe, notamment dans la gestion de projet et le développement commercial», indique Alstom dans un communiqué.
Présent au Maroc depuis près d’un siècle, Alstom est un partenaire de longue date dans le développement de la mobilité au pays.
Fort de plus de 650 collaborateurs, Alstom a réalisé plusieurs projets clés, parmi lesquels la livraison de 190 tramways Citadis X02 aux villes de Rabat (66 tramways) et de Casablanca (124 tramways), de 12 trains Avelia Euroduplex pour la ligne à grande vitesse qui relie Tanger à Casablanca et de 77 locomotives Prima fournissant les meilleures solutions pour les services de transport de fret, de passagers et mixtes.
Grâce à la nouvelle usine de Fès, Alstom a pu accroître la production de câbles destinés à des applications ferroviaires, des coffrets électriques ainsi que des transformateurs embarqués qui sont fournis à ses usines européennes, puis montés sur des trains exportés vers le monde entier.
