L’Union Internationale des Chemins de Fer (UIC) porte son choix sur le Maroc pour abriter l’édition 2023 du Congrès Mondial UIC de la Grande Vitesse Ferroviaire tout en tenant compte du positionnement dont jouit le Royaume au niveau Afrique et Moyen-Orient dans le domaine de la grande vitesse ferroviaire.
Cette 11e édition du Congrès devant se tenir du 7 au 10 mars 2023, au Palais des Congrès de Marrakech, au Maroc, sous l’égide de l’UIC et de l’ONCF, va réunir tous les acteurs de la grande vitesse ferroviaire dans le monde.
En adoptant comme devise « La Grande Vitesse Ferroviaire : la bonne vitesse pour notre planète », le congrès misera sur la contribution du chemin de fer à la résolution des problèmes climatiques et à son rôle dans l’aménagement du territoire.
Le Directeur Général de l’ONCF, Mohamed Rabie KHLIE et le Directeur Général de l’UIC, François DAVENNE, ont cordialement invité les acteurs majeurs de la chaîne de mobilité sur les cinq continents à participer massivement à cet événement unique.
Ils ont déclaré que « c’est le meilleur cadre pour maximiser la valeur ajoutée des chemins de fer pour la collectivité et pour partager les dernières avancées technologiques. La Grande Vitesse Ferroviaire est loin d’avoir épuisé le potentiel des solutions adaptées à la croissance de la mobilité durable à l’échelle de la planète ».
Des trains à grande vitesse sont empruntés chaque année par près de trois milliards de voyageurs, et ce bond est encouragé par l’extension continue du réseau ferroviaire à grande vitesse et des services associés. En effet, si près de 56 000 km de lignes à grande vitesse sont actuellement en service dans le monde, ce chiffre sera multiplié par deux d’ici 30 ans.
Les pays qui se sont déjà engagés dans cette voie complètent le maillage de leur propre réseau et ils sont rejoints par de nouveaux pays et de nouveaux États convaincus par ce mode de transport. Cela n’est pas sans poser quelques défis stratégiques, industriels, techniques ou financiers que le Congrès abordera durant trois jours de Congrès.
Pour cette édition du Congrès Mondial UIC de la Grande Vitesse Ferroviaire à Marrakech, plus de 1500 participants sont attendus : décideurs politiques, autorités en charge des transports, entreprises ferroviaires et acteurs clés de l’intermodalité, gestionnaires d’infrastructure, industriels, institutions financières, clients, instituts d’études et de recherche, universités, etc.
Tous ces publics prendront part aux séances de travail, au salon professionnel et aux visites techniques organisées à cette occasion. Une invitation pour soumission d’article(s) à présenter lors du congrès est lancée auprès des chercheurs, universitaires, étudiants et experts ferroviaires.
