Alors que le groupe européen d’aéronautique et de défense souhaiterait monter en cadence, Airbus est obligé de revoir à la baisse ses livraisons pour 2022, en raison des « tensions logistiques », à savoir des difficultés d’approvisionnement en pièces détachées et en moteurs.
L’avionneur a décalé à début 2024 (contre auparavant l’été 2023) son objectif de produire 65 avions par mois pour la famille A320.
A fin juin, le groupe avait produit 26 « planeurs », c’est-à-dire des avions terminés mais en attente de moteur pour être livrés, a indiqué Guillaume Faury, le président exécutif d’Airbus, lors d’une conférence de presse.
Airbus devrait quand même réussir à livrer environ 700 avions cette année, contre 720 initialement prévus (contre 611 appareils l’année dernière). Il maintient son objectif de faire sortir 75 avions de la famille A320 chaque mois d’ici 2025.
« Par ailleurs, Airbus étudie avec sa supply chain la possibilité d’augmenter la cadence de production des gros porteurs afin de répondre aux besoins du marché suite à la reprise du trafic international », a également annoncé l’avionneur. Le groupe a par ailleurs maintenu ses autres objectifs financiers pour l’année en cours.
