Le groupe Stef vient d’annoncer le rachat de Langdon Group, qui englobe notamment les entités Nagel Langdons Ltd, Ferryline Forwarding Ltd et Langdons Bridgwater Ltd. Cet acteur est un spécialiste du transport sous température dirigée au Royaume-Uni et se positionne également sur l’import / export de produits alimentaires frais et surgelés entre le Royaume-Uni et l’Europe continentale.
Alors que le Royaume-Uni ne faisait initialement pas partie des pays concernés par l’accord stratégique européen passé fin 2020 entre le français Stef et l’allemand Nagel, les deux géants de la logistique du froid viennent d’annoncer un protocole d’accord concernant le rachat par le premier de la société britannique Langdon Group Ltd, qui était une filiale du groupe Nagel depuis 2004.
Langdon Group, qui englobe notamment les entités Nagel Langdons Ltd, Ferryline Forwarding Ltd et Langdons Bridgwater Ltd, est un spécialiste du transport sous température dirigée au Royaume-Uni et un acteur important de l’import / export de produits alimentaires frais et surgelés entre le Royaume-Uni et l’Europe continentale.
Un portefeuille de 2 000 clients
Avec un CA de 164 M€ en 2020, elle emploie 1 400 collaborateurs sur huit sites, et traite chaque année 2,7 M de palettes pour le compte de quelque 2 000 clients.
“Nous nous réjouissons de cette signature qui représente une opportunité unique pour étendre notre couverture géographique à un 8e pays : le Royaume-Uni. Elle s’inscrit parfaitement dans notre stratégie de pure player européen de la supply chain alimentaire”, a déclaré Stanislas Lemor, le Pdg du groupe STEF.
Cette acquisition, dont la finalisation est prévue pour la fin de l’année, s’accompagnera d’un accord de distribution entre Stef et Nagel en vertu duquel les clients du groupe allemand pourront notamment continuer à bénéficier du réseau britannique de Langdon Group.
