Parmi les objectifs principaux d’une rencontre organisée, mardi 31 mai, à Tanger, sous le thème «Maroc, port de Marseille Fos: développer et renforcer nos échanges», LE DÉVELOPPEMENT des échanges entre le Maroc et le port de Marseille Fos en débat à Tanger.
Cette rencontre d’information initiée la Chambre française de commerce et d’industrie du Maroc et l’Association Via Marseille Fos (VMF) s’est tenue au profit des acteurs du transport maritime et de la logistique marocains et étrangers. Le président de VMF affirme que « cet événement vise à développer et renforcer les échanges commerciaux et maritimes entre le Maroc et le port de Marseille Fos».
Il annonce également que a été porté par VMF sur Tanger pour organiser ce premier roadshow à l’étranger après deux années de crise liée à la pandémie de Covid-19.
M. Salvetat poursuit ses propos en expliquant que « ce choix n’est pas fortuit puisqu’en plus de son positionnement géographique stratégique, le Nord du Maroc en particulier Tanger connaît un grand essor économique », tout en soulignant « l’importance du Port Tanger Med à travers ses installations et son rôle dans l’équilibre des flux logistiques en Méditerranée ».
À cet effet, il estime qu’il est nécessaire d’améliorer des liaisons maritimes entre les deux ports de Marseille Fos et Tanger Med. Surtout que «les flux logistiques directs entre Tanger et Marseille sont relativement faibles», a déploré M. Salvetat.
Ce roadshow s’est distingué par la présentation du complexe portuaire Tanger Med et sa montée en puissance pour devenir le premier port en Afrique depuis cinq ans et le premier en Méditerranée depuis deux ans.
Il est destiné à «ancrer le Maroc dans le système industriel mondial», a dit Hassan Abkari, directeur général adjoint de l’autorité portuaire Tanger Med, faisant remarquer qu’avec 7.173.870 conteneurs EVP traités en 2021, le complexe portuaire a réussi à conforter «sa position en tant que hub majeur pour les grandes alliances maritimes mondiales».
Faisant un exposé sur ce port et le développement de sa performance grâce à de nouvelles infrastructures, dont le projet de gare maritime passager qui sera ouvert à la mi-juin, avec le lancement de l’opération Marhaba, Fatiha Jaureguv, chef du département commercial au port Marseille Fos a fait part d’un nouveau terminal roulier, dont l’entrée en service est prévue avant la fin de l’année en cours, pour accueillir les grands navires.
En ce qui concerne la connectivité de Marseille Fos, «nous travaillons avec des compagnies maritimes pour renforcer des liaisons pour les remorques et les passagers», a-t-elle dit.
De son côté, Zouhair Benjelloun, président de la délégation régionale de Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima de l’Association marocaine des exportateurs, rappelle que la majorité des traversées (avec le transport des marchandises) se fait généralement à partir du détroit de Gibraltar via Tanger Med et la continuité du trajet se fait par voie routière et autoroutière.
Il a mis en avant les alternatives proposées par le port Marseille Fos avec de grands bateaux ayant une capacité assez importante pour le transport des marchandises et avec une réduction allant jusqu’à 50% des émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Afin de pouvoir mieux préparer le terrain pour les différents échanges réalisés à travers les deux ports, M. Benjelloun a proposé la mise en place des commissions mixtes.
