Plusieurs pays du continent américain ont manifesté leur intérêt pour le nouveau port Dakhla Atlantique qui est un mégaprojet structurant du nouveau modèle de développement des provinces du sud.
Un communiqué du ministère de l’Équipement et de l’Eau indique qu’une délégation économique américaine et une délégation parlementaire du Congrès de la République du Pérou, en visite au Royaume, ont effectué, une visite au site du projet du nouveau port Dakhla atlantique.
En marge du Forum d’investissement Maroc-USA tenu les 8 et 9 mars à Dakhla, la délégation américaine composée d’hommes d’affaires et d’investisseurs s’est rendue sur le site du projet du nouveau port.
Ensuite, les services du ministère de l’Équipement et de l’Eau, en charge du suivi de la réalisation de ce mégaprojet, ont reçu les deux délégations précise le communiqué, qui relève que le projet du nouveau port Dakhla atlantique revêt une importance stratégique pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest et pour les provinces du Sud, notamment la région de Dakhla-Oued Eddahab.
Et d’ajouter à cet égard que cette infrastructure portuaire de grand standing permettra de soutenir la croissance économique, sociale et industrielle de la région, dans tous ses secteurs productifs (pêche, agriculture, mines, énergie, tourisme, commerce et industries).
Ce projet d’une portée stratégique est de nature à offrir à la région un outil logistique moderne et évolutif qui permettra de saisir les opportunités futures offertes par le secteur du transport maritime à l’échelle internationale.
La même source précise d’ailleurs « qu’une zone industrialo-logistique de 1.650 hectares, sera également adossée au nouveau port Dakhla Atlantique pour offrir des services industriels et logistiques de qualité ».
