Pour booster sa croissance sur les marchés africains et européens, la startup marocaine de logistique et de fret numérique CloudFret a réalisé une levée de fonds estimé à 1 million de dollars. Rappelons que CloudFret fondée en 2021 par Driss Jabar est une société de transport et de logistique qui met en relation chargeurs de camions et transporteurs.
Pour détecter les véhicules de fret vides voyageant entre l’Europe et l’Afrique, et les connecte aux marchandises à transporter, la plateforme utilise la technologie de l’intelligence artificielle.
Le financement de 1 million de dollars US provient de Plug and Play, PRC Ventures ICAV, Azur Innovation Fund, AfriMobi et du business angel Khalid Zitouni, et sera utilisé pour aider CloudFret à se développer davantage sur les marchés européens et africains.
Elle va également accroitre la taille de son équipe et procéder au lancement de nouveaux services de fidélisation. Jabar déclare que « cette levée de fonds démontre la confiance accordée à l’équipe CloudFret et le potentiel du marché. CloudFret connaît une croissance à trois chiffres : les revenus générés au premier trimestre 2022 sont égaux à ceux de l’exercice 2022 ».
