Pour améliorer le suivi et la surveillance des marchandises en exploitant des technologies avancées relatives au traitement des données Kuehne+Nagel et Chorus ont décidé de s’associer.
Le groupe mondial de transport et logistique, Kuehne+Nagel a noué un partenariat avec Chorus, un projet technologique émanant de la société X du groupe Alphabet (Google), dans le but d’enrichir son offre de services routiers digitaux eTrucknow.
En se basant sur l’exploitation de la big data, Kuehne+Nagel pourra proposer à ses clients d’améliorer le suivi, la surveillance et la résilience de leur supply chain. « Même si le secteur manque toujours d’outils et d’informations, les chaînes d’approvisionnement sont l’épine dorsale de l’économie mondiale ».
Les bouleversements peuvent conduire à des pénuries et à l’indisponibilité de ressources essentielles. « Nous sommes ravis de nous associer à Kuehne+Nagel car ces défis nécessitent des partenariats stratégiques solides avec des organisations qui possèdent une expertise approfondie pour améliorer la résilience systémique. Ensemble, nous espérons que ces outils pourront aider les entreprises à être plus durables, efficaces et productives », explique Suresh Vishnubhatla, directeur général de Chorus.
Une supply chain tournée vers l’intelligence
La technologie Chorus fonctionne grâce à l’utilisation de capteurs intelligents, qui permettent de fournir des données granulaires de localisation et de surveillance de l’état des marchandises.
Une manière de mesurer l’état de la supply chain et, en cas de problème lors de l’expédition de marchandises, d’offrir une vision prospective en temps réel de la chaîne d’approvisionnement pour optimiser l’efficacité de la réponse.
Stefan Paul, membre du conseil d’administration de Kuehne+Nagel International, responsable de l’activité Route et des ventes explique « qu’ils se concentront sur le développement de solutions pour adresser les problèmes les plus complexes de la chaîne d’approvisionnement mondiale ».
