I’ve been deep down impressed with CBD gummies and like cbd oils. They’re not only delicious but also incredibly opportune as a replacement for getting a daily dosage of CBD. I friendship how discreet they are, making them accurate on when I’m on the go. I’ve as an individual noticed they help me rest and have a zizz mastery, specially after a stressful day. The in conformance dosage in each gummy also takes the guesswork into public notice of managing how much CBD I’m consuming. If you’re thinking of maddening CBD, gummies are a consequential option—just be dependable to buy off from a trusted label looking for the best results!

His makeup was perfectly creepy and his costume was from the 2008 film

Shyamalan’s wife, Dr. Bhavna Shyamalan, 55, looked beautiful in an amber-colored, Victorian era gown with bats
all over it.
Her makeup was a cross between zombie and goth as she proudly posed next to her
talented husband who looked adoringly at her.

Shyamalan, who was born in Mahé India but grew up in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania, released two films in the 1990s before The Sixth Sense.
That set off a string a big hits for the filmmaker that includes

with the release of Lady In The Water (2006), which barely covered the $70 million budget.
His biggest box office success was with The Sixth Sense, grossing $672.8 million while working with a $40 million budget 25 years ago.
To date, the film made $6.6 million on its first day, including an estimated $2.2 million from the Thursday night previews.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are asking voter to choose between an immigration crackdown and reproductive rights
As their race for the US presidency comes down to the wire,
each major candidate has leaned heavily on a
favorite theme — abortion rights for Democrat Kamala Harris and border security for
Republican Donald Trump.
In Arizona, their ideological duel has reached a white-hot peak, with both topics the subject of
fiercely debated ballot referendums.
And in this key southwestern state — where the billionaire Trump lost to President Joe Biden in 2020 by a tiny margin of
about 10,500 votes — every ballot truly will count.
In the mid-sized city of Tucson, hundreds of volunteers in orange
T-shirts were going door-to-door to try to persuade voters to
back a ballot measure to inscribe abortion rights in the state constitution — and, while they’re
at it, to vote for Vice President Harris.
To Grace Ireland, a 26-year-old activist, the abortion restrictions imposed by several Republican-controlled states
amount to “a public health crisis that Donald Trump and the Republicans have created.”
She added, “Democrats and Kamala Harris are trying to push us forward and protect women’s health care and protect our democracy and protect all people.”
Une pancarte barrée du slogan “L’indifférence aux élections est dangereuse”,
à Tucson, en Arizona, le 16 octobre 2024
Since 2022, when the US Supreme Court ended the constitutional protection of federal abortion rights, Ireland, a registered nurse,
has worked in several states where abortion is banned or severely limited.
Those restrictions have had sometimes disastrous consequences for
women having problem pregnancies or carrying nonviable fetuses when doctors refuse to treat them.
“Women are going septic and dying because they cannot receive the care that they need,” she told AFP.
– ‘Abortion is murder’ –
As Ireland carries her message to potential voters, she noted, particularly to young people who may be less likely to vote, that it was Donald Trump
who appointed the three justices who tipped the Supreme Court against abortion rights.
Donald Trump lors d’un meeting à Tempe, en Arizona, le
24 octobre 2024
“It’s important to reiterate that Donald Trump and these abortion bans are one and the same,” Ireland said.
But in Tucson there is little unanimity among young voters.
“I do think that abortion is murder,” said Pedro Lopez, a 20-year-old
college student.
“There are cases of incest or rape” that merit exceptions,
he conceded, “but that’s very small.”
He also worries about the flow of undocumented migrants that have entered the
country from Mexico during the Biden-Harris administration.
“People that are entering the United States illegally… should be sent back to where they came from,” he
said.
“My grandparents migrated from Mexico to the United States, and they did it the right way.”
So he plans not only to vote for Trump, but to back the proposal to
let local law enforcement detain, arrest and prosecute anyone suspected of
having entered the country illegally — powers normally reserved to the border
police who work for the federal government.
“I know people that work for the Border Patrol, and they’re really upset because this current administration has really tied their hands up. They’re not really able to do anything,” Lopez
said.
– Mixed impact –
The major political parties see the competing referendums as offering an opportunity to mobilize more people
to vote — on ballot questions at the very heart of the
two presidential campaigns.
Anti-abortion activists demonstrate outside a clinic in Phoenix,
Arizona on April 18, 2024
But the referendums may not have the clear impact on the
race for the White House that activists hope.
Polls show Trump and Harris running neck-and-neck in Arizona, with the Republican holding a very narrow lead.
Both ballot questions, meantime, have drawn strong support and both
appear likely to pass.
So the abortion issue may not be “helping Democrats in the way that they would hope,” said Jenny
Brian, a professor of bioethics at Arizona State University.
Many Republican women will vote both to protect abortion rights and to bring Trump back to the White House,
Brian said.
Though abortion is sometimes framed as a Democrat vs.
Republican issue, the Republican Party includes “a broad spectrum of views on the topic,” an issue that also
raises conservatives’ concerns about “government interference,” she
added.
The same dynamic applies to immigration, with the tougher language on the
Arizona ballot question finding support not just among Trump Republicans but also “moderates and even many Democrats,” said John Kavanagh,
a Republican and an Arizona state senator.
The 74-year-old Kavanagh is unimpressed by Harris’s recent toughening on migration,
specifically her promise to maintain the partial closing of the border Biden ordered in recent months.
The vice president, Kavanagh said, is “running away faster from her open-border policy than an illegal immigrant that runs away from the Border Patrol.”

How Celine Dion fought Stiff Person Syndrome every day to be fit to open the Olympics
Dion burst out laughing and said ‘never mind!’ before suggesting she ask the question in a strong French accent.
After this Siri responded: ‘Okay, here is ‘Hymne à l’amour by Céline Dion.’
Dion looked shocked before smiling and giving the thumbs up.
In July Dion made a musical comeback with the track at the 2024 Paris Olympic Opening Ceremony amid her battle with incurable condition, stiff-person syndrome.
28 years after making her Olympic debut in 1996 at Atlanta’s stadium, Celine proved she’s still got it following her emotional act in the French city at the Eiffel Tower.
And after bringing fans to tears, Celine reflected on the iconic moment with a heartfelt message on X.
She wrote: ‘I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities!
‘Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance.

The bold, confident, free-thinking modern woman who may
soon occupy the White House is not named Kamala Harris.
In her new No.1 New York Times best-selling memoir, Melania Trump
shares a revealing look into her personal life and
journey – from a childhood in small-town Slovenia, to globetrotting
pursuits as a young model, to her courtship and marriage to one of the world’s
most famous men.
She also corrects the record, challenges her critics and clarifies her positions
on a range of issues from abortion (she’s pro-choice) to the inclusion of biological men in women’s sports (female athletes must
always be ‘protected and respected’).
In fact, she sounds like many female voters grappling with the whiplash changes wrought by Joe
Biden and Kamala Harris’s time in the White House.
The bold, confident, free-thinking modern woman who may soon occupy the
White House is not named Kamala Harris. (Pictured:
Kellyanne with Donald and Melania Trump at the White House in 2019).
‘The country is suffering,’ she writes. ‘We have wars around the world…
The border is open and dangerous… a lot of fentanyl is coming over
and killing our youth…. The economy is really not great, inflation is high.’
I’ve known and worked alongside Melania for many years, and regard her as
a friend.
She has been unfairly maligned and the target of so much
speculation and prevarication. That is why it has been so wonderful to see
her own ‘October Surprise’, a memoir in her own words on her
own timeline, showing the measured, magnanimous woman tens of millions of Americans adore.
Earlier this year, Melania and I lost our mothers just weeks
apart. Even as she navigated her loss in public view, Melania made every effort to be there for me.
She and President Trump called, sent flowers, handwritten notes and checked in with me time and again.
After my divorce was finalized last year, Melania showed
up again, supporting me as any caring friend would and encouraging me
to swing open soldered doors following a time of personal upheaval and
transition.

EXCLUSIVE
KELLYANNE CONWAY: Don’s back! Here’s his new 2024 blueprint
And it was the same story when we worked together in the White
House. While Jill Biden has insisted on being called ‘Doctor’, Melania was admired and beloved
by the political and permanent staffers alike, asking after their children by name, welcoming them
to events big and small, and treating them with inclusivity and respect.
Known as a protective and present mother, Melania now uses her memoir to call out the
‘sheer malice’ of unfunny comic Rosie O’Donnell who, in 2016,
tweeted despicable and totally unfounded claims about Barron,
then aged 10.
It was just weeks after Trump had stunned the world and won, and
the same liberal media and Hollywood types, who perpetuated every vicious attack against him, reveled as O’Donnell’s
vile lie wormed its way across social media.
It was a shock to see such naked cruelty towards a First Child, especially when so
many of us had treated Chelsea Clinton and the Obama daughters like Fabergé eggs.
Kids (including mine) should always be off limits.
I’ve known and worked alongside Melania for many years, and regard her as a friend.
(Pictured together in 2018 visiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
Medical Center).
Earlier this year, Melania and I lost our mothers just weeks apart.
Even as she navigated her loss in public view, Melania made every effort to be there for me.
She and President Trump called, sent flowers,
handwritten notes and checked in with me
time and again. (Pictured: Together with Trump in the White House in 2019).
But instead of going to war, Melania acted swiftly and tenderly to shield
her son. She channeled maternal outrage into a first lady’s focus on initiatives centered around children’s wellness
and cyberbullying awareness. Her ‘Be Best’ campaign remains a highlight of her time in office.
Melania has never been one for preening and posturing. Other first ladies used their roles
to land on the cover of fashion magazines, but she did so on her own,
years before, as a successful model.
Even when I’ve suggested she push back on myriad false claims made by the media or ungrateful former staffers
who have returned her trust in them with self-serving lies and revisionist history, she has declined, knowing that her silence is always more powerful.
Behind closed doors, Trump has, for decades, regarded his wife as a top confidante and counselor.
Whether as an international business mogul, a TV star or, lately,
leader of the free world, it is Melania’s opinion that he has consistently sought.
Trump enjoys the company of plenty of friends, taking a range of
advice, but he speaks of – and to – Melania in an entirely unique way.
Really, he fears yet reveres her. He respects her independence, seeks her input, trusts her keen eye, sharp ear and sense
of people.
I have witnessed their relationship up close, and it is one fundamentally built on mutual love and respect.
Recently, as Barron was heading off for college
and Melania was preparing to publish her memoir, I jokingly asked Trump how it might feel to be the
second most popular man and the second most
prominent author in the household. He chuckled and relented.
Melania Trump has plenty to say and nothing to prove. She is not a typical

Celine Dion had a hilarious reaction to her hit,
My Heart Will Go On, in a new video this week.
The iconic songstress, 56, who is best known for the 1997 Titanic soundtrack song, was seen attempting to stream
her rendition of Edith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour – but Siri
failed to understand her and instead suggested My Heart Will
Go On.
In the clip, Dion says: ‘Hey Siri, play Hymne à l’amour by Céline

A frustrated Dion said: ‘No! Hello, No, no, no, Hey Siri, can you play Hymne à l’amour by Céline Dion please?’
Again, Siri replied: ‘I cannot find that track by Céline Dion but here is My Heart Will Go On.’

Celine looked incredible in a shimmering silver gown as she performed in front of the Eiffel Tower.
She gave a rendition of Hymne à L’amour, which was
originally sung by French music icon Edith Piaf.
The song was originally released in 1950 and its title translates

at home were also left emotional.

What is the difference between a hexagon and a hexagram?
Asked by Bri Bri
A hexagram is a star-shaped figure formed by two intersecting equilateral triangles.
A hexagon is a six-sided polygon or 6-gon.
The bold, confident, free-thinking modern woman who may soon occupy the White House
is not named Kamala Harris.
In her new No.1 New York Times best-selling memoir,
Melania Trump shares a revealing look into her personal life
and journey – from a childhood in small-town Slovenia, to globetrotting pursuits as a young model, to her courtship and
marriage to one of the world’s most famous men.
She also corrects the record, challenges her critics and clarifies her positions
on a range of issues from abortion (she’s pro-choice) to the inclusion of biological men in women’s sports (female athletes must always be ‘protected and respected’).
In fact, she sounds like many female voters grappling with the whiplash changes wrought
by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s time in the White House.
The bold, confident, free-thinking modern woman who may soon occupy the
White House is not named Kamala Harris. (Pictured: Kellyanne

‘The country is suffering,’ she writes. ‘We have wars around the world…
The border is open and dangerous… a lot of fentanyl is coming over and killing our youth….
The economy is really not great, inflation is high.’
I’ve known and worked alongside Melania
for many years, and regard her as a friend.
She has been unfairly maligned and the target of so much speculation and prevarication. That is
why it has been so wonderful to see her own ‘October Surprise’, a memoir
in her own words on her own timeline, showing the measured,
magnanimous woman tens of millions of Americans adore.
Earlier this year, Melania and I lost our mothers just
weeks apart. Even as she navigated her loss in public
view, Melania made every effort to be there for me.
She and President Trump called, sent flowers, handwritten notes and checked in with
me time and again.
After my divorce was finalized last year, Melania showed up again, supporting me as any
caring friend would and encouraging me to swing open soldered doors following a time of personal
upheaval and transition.

EXCLUSIVE
KELLYANNE CONWAY: Don’s back! Here’s his new 2024 blueprint
And it was the same story when we worked together in the White House.
While Jill Biden has insisted on being called ‘Doctor’, Melania was admired and
beloved by the political and permanent staffers
alike, asking after their children by name, welcoming
them to events big and small, and treating them with
inclusivity and respect.
Known as a protective and present mother, Melania now
uses her memoir to call out the ‘sheer malice’ of unfunny comic Rosie
O’Donnell who, in 2016, tweeted despicable and totally unfounded
claims about Barron, then aged 10.
It was just weeks after Trump had stunned the world and won, and the
same liberal media and Hollywood types, who perpetuated every
vicious attack against him, reveled as O’Donnell’s vile lie
wormed its way across social media.
It was a shock to see such naked cruelty towards a First Child, especially when so many
of us had treated Chelsea Clinton and the Obama daughters like Fabergé eggs.
Kids (including mine) should always be off limits.
I’ve known and worked alongside Melania for many years,
and regard her as a friend. (Pictured together
in 2018 visiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center).
Earlier this year, Melania and I lost our mothers just weeks apart.
Even as she navigated her loss in public view, Melania
made every effort to be there for me. She and President Trump called,
sent flowers, handwritten notes and checked in with me time and again. (Pictured: Together with Trump in the White
House in 2019).
But instead of going to war, Melania acted swiftly
and tenderly to shield her son. She channeled maternal
outrage into a first lady’s focus on initiatives centered
around children’s wellness and cyberbullying awareness.
Her ‘Be Best’ campaign remains a highlight of her time in office.
Melania has never been one for preening and posturing.
Other first ladies used their roles to land on the cover of
fashion magazines, but she did so on her own, years before, as a successful model.
Even when I’ve suggested she push back on myriad false claims made by the media or ungrateful former staffers who have returned her trust in them with self-serving lies and revisionist history, she has declined,
knowing that her silence is always more powerful.
Behind closed doors, Trump has, for decades, regarded his wife as a top confidante and counselor.
Whether as an international business mogul, a TV star or, lately,
leader of the free world, it is Melania’s opinion that he
has consistently sought.
Trump enjoys the company of plenty of friends,
taking a range of advice, but he speaks of – and to –
Melania in an entirely unique way. Really, he fears yet reveres her.
He respects her independence, seeks her input, trusts
her keen eye, sharp ear and sense of people.
I have witnessed their relationship up close, and it is one fundamentally built on mutual love and respect.
Recently, as Barron was heading off for college and Melania was preparing to publish her memoir, I jokingly asked Trump how
it might feel to be the second most popular man and the second most
prominent author in the household. He chuckled and relented.
Melania Trump has plenty to say and nothing to prove. She is not a typical political spouse rushing to the cameras
on matters that are best handled privately, or loudly offering insights or slights about her husband’s political opponents à la Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama.
She is an asset, a partner, an equal who is neither trying to control – looking at you, Jill Biden – nor controlled by her partner.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are asking voter
to choose between an immigration crackdown and reproductive rights
As their race for the US presidency comes down to the
wire, each major candidate has leaned heavily on a favorite theme — abortion rights for Democrat Kamala Harris and border security
for Republican Donald Trump.
In Arizona, their ideological duel has reached a
white-hot peak, with both topics the subject of fiercely debated ballot referendums.
And in this key southwestern state — where the billionaire Trump lost to President Joe Biden in 2020 by a tiny margin of
about 10,500 votes — every ballot truly will count.
In the mid-sized city of Tucson, hundreds of volunteers in orange T-shirts were
going door-to-door to try to persuade voters to
back a ballot measure to inscribe abortion rights in the state constitution — and, while they’re at it, to vote for Vice President Harris.
To Grace Ireland, a 26-year-old activist, the abortion restrictions imposed by several Republican-controlled states amount to “a public health crisis that Donald Trump and the Republicans have created.”
Since 2022, when the US Supreme Court ended the constitutional
protection of federal abortion rights, Ireland, a registered
nurse, has worked in several states where abortion is banned or severely
limited.
Those restrictions have had sometimes disastrous consequences for women having problem pregnancies or carrying nonviable fetuses when doctors
refuse to treat them.
“Women are going septic and dying because they cannot receive the care that they need,” she told AFP.
– ‘Abortion is murder’ –
As Ireland carries her message to potential voters, she noted, particularly to young people
who may be less likely to vote, that it was Donald Trump who appointed
the three justices who tipped the Supreme Court against abortion rights.
Donald Trump lors d’un meeting à Tempe,
en Arizona, le 24 octobre 2024
“It’s important to reiterate that Donald Trump and these abortion bans are one and the same,”
Ireland said.
But in Tucson there is little unanimity among young voters.
“I do think that abortion is murder,” said Pedro Lopez, a 20-year-old college student.
“There are cases of incest or rape” that merit exceptions, he
conceded, “but that’s very small.”
He also worries about the flow of undocumented migrants
that have entered the country from Mexico during the Biden-Harris administration.
“People that are entering the United States illegally… should be sent back to where they came from,” he
said.
“My grandparents migrated from Mexico to the United States, and they did it the right way.”
So he plans not only to vote for Trump, but to back the proposal to let local law enforcement detain, arrest and prosecute anyone suspected of having entered the country illegally —
powers normally reserved to the border police who work for the federal government.
“I know people that work for the Border Patrol, and they’re really upset because this current administration has really tied their hands up. They’re not really able to do anything,” Lopez said.
– Mixed impact –
The major political parties see the competing referendums as offering an opportunity
to mobilize more people to vote — on ballot questions at
the very heart of the two presidential campaigns.
Anti-abortion activists demonstrate outside a clinic in Phoenix,
Arizona on April 18, 2024
But the referendums may not have the clear impact on the race for the
White House that activists hope.
Polls show Trump and Harris running neck-and-neck in Arizona, with the
Republican holding a very narrow lead.
Both ballot questions, meantime, have drawn strong support
and both appear likely to pass.
So the abortion issue may not be “helping Democrats in the way that they would hope,” said Jenny
Brian, a professor of bioethics at Arizona State University.
Many Republican women will vote both to protect
abortion rights and to bring Trump back to the White House, Brian said.
Though abortion is sometimes framed as a Democrat vs. Republican issue, the
Republican Party includes “a broad spectrum of views on the topic,” an issue that also raises conservatives’ concerns about “government interference,” she added.
The same dynamic applies to immigration, with the tougher language on the
Arizona ballot question finding support not just among Trump Republicans but also “moderates and even many Democrats,” said John Kavanagh, a Republican and an Arizona state senator.
The 74-year-old Kavanagh is unimpressed by Harris’s recent toughening
on migration, specifically her promise to maintain the partial closing of the
border Biden ordered in recent months.
The vice president, Kavanagh said, is “running away faster from her open-border policy than an illegal immigrant that runs away from the Border Patrol.”

Aston alleged Mr Albanese directly contacted Mr Joyce while in his various parliamentary jobs, which included Minister for Transport to ask for special upgrades that only the CEO could dole out for himself or his family.
According to unnamed Qantas ‘insiders’ 11 of the 22 flights

Nothing signals the start of winter quite like the return of the Fair Isle knit.
Once considered ‘ugly’ knitwear we’d only pull out from the back of our
wardrobes as an alternative to a Christmas jumper (especially the red-nosed
reindeer kind à la Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones’s Diary) or for
a winter sport holiday (specifically for après-ski), the Fair Isle jumper has now become somewhat of a fashion statement.
The knit is named after the small, eponymous Shetland Island in Scotland and
uses a traditional knitting technique to create those distinctive patterns with multiple colours.
It was brought into vogue by an earlier Prince of Wales (later
Edward VIII) in the 1920s, and has remained a casual wardrobe staple for members of the Royal Family, including Kate Middleton, whose jumper collection includes
at least three different Fair Isle designs.

Another fan of the nostalgic knit is Alexa Chung, who recently
layered a Fair Isle vest by Molly Goddard over a light blue button-down in a snap for Instagram.
The It-girl previously also wore a V-neck vest from Cotswolds-based knitwear brand Cooking
Apple, and sported a chunky Fair Isle crewneck with white, straight-leg jeans, black loafers and an oversized, black leather blazer to ring in the festive season at private members’ club in London last year.
A host of designers have dropped Fair Isle-inspired knits for AW24, proving the multicoloured jumpers have become a timeless investment.

Joker: Folie À Deux is branded ‘bleak’ and the
‘most disappointing follow-up’ by critics
Joaquin reprised his role as the Joker in the sequel, which had
earned him an Oscar for his portrayal in the 2019 film, while Gaga took on the
role of Harleen Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn).
However, Joker: Folie À Deux has been given a D rating on CinemaScore
— the lowest score for a comic book movie at
the time of writing.
Madame Web — which notably also flopped in theaters earlier this year and also received terrible reviews — holds
a higher score with a C+.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds an audience score of 31 percent and a critic score of 33 percent.
The sequel is projected to rake in less that $50 million at the domestic box office during the entirety of
opening weekend, per The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie had been projected to bring in around $70 million – but the number has since
drastically dropped.
Joker (2019) notably opened with $96.2 million when the film first released in theaters – and eventually landed a little over $1 billion in the global box office.

The first movie – which was also directed by Todd

$70 million. However, the budget increased for Folie À Deux to around $200 million.
The 2019 movie garnered praise and positive reviews from both critics and audiences – and won the Golden Lion during the 76th Venice International Film Festival.
Joaquin received an Oscar for Best Actor for his
portrayal of the Joker (Arthur Fleck) – and the film garnered an additional Academy Award for Best Original Score.
The sequel also screened during the Venice International Film Festival last
month in September, where it earned a 12-minute standing ovation, per
Deadline.
However, audiences have since taken to X after the

A social media user wrote, ‘Stop making sequels as musicals if the original wasn’t a musical.’
‘Maybe he [Phillips] only had an hour long movie, and decided to randomly add musical scenes to fill the runtime,’ one
penned.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter,

An un-insulated loft leads to a loss of more
than 20% of heat generated to keep a room warm.
In addition, lots of heat escapes through the
walls too. This will lead to huge energy bills.
That is the main reason why people try to insulate their lofts.
However, most of them back out thinking of the huge amount
of money that they will have to pay the electrician to get it done.
In addition, it is a very tough task top get an electrician to get
the job done. Moreover, it is a tough task to make the electrician work according to
ones liking. However, the process has become easier now with the arrival of DIY (Do It Yourself) kits.
One can use these kits to get the loft insulated in an easy way.
To get the insulation done using these kits, one would not require
the help of any electrician. The manufacturers
provide a manual along with the kit to help insulate the loft
without any external help. Hence, one will not find any difficulty in getting it done.
There are different types of insulations available in the form of these DIY kits.
The most famous among them are the ones coming in the form of bags of loose-fill and rolls of blanket insulation. One can select one,
which suit their loft and get it insulted. To achieve maximum thermal efficiency, it is necessary
to lay the material at perfect thickness.
Blanket insulation available in large rolls is made of mineral wool.
As it can lead to skin irritation, one ought to take enough precautions while arranging the
insulation. There are many alternatives available for the mineral wool recently
such as used plastic bottles and sheep wool. Vermiculate granules, the
most common form of loose fill insulation, are poured between the
joists of the ceiling. They come is bags and hence it is easy to pour them.
Other major ingredients in this form of insulations are mineral wool, cellulose fiber and cork granules.
This is a perfect environmental friendly and cost effective DIY kit
for insulating the loft. The guidelines that one has to follow while laying these insulations are given in the user’s manual.
Jacker Martyn writes informative and unique articles about DIY.

An invitation to lunch at Caviar Kaspia was, once upon a time, an offer you simply didn’t
refuse. Providing, of course, that the bill was on someone else.
Because caviar, smeared on blinis or piled high on baked potatoes,
sure didn’t come cheap. There may have been other things on the menu, but
no one paid them much heed. This was all about lashings of the black stuff.
Caviar Kaspia’s signature baked potato and caviar: ‘there are few better
dishes on earth…only the price, at just under £150, is ridiculous’
Caviar Kaspia popped her final tin about two decades back.
And that site, hidden down a smart Mayfair mews, was taken over by Gavin Rankin (who used to be the boss), and
transformed into the brilliant Bellamy’s. It prospers to this day.
Kaspia, on the other hand, went quiet. Until last year, when she reopened as a members’ club in another Mayfair backstreet.
But a £2,000 a year membership fee proved hard to swallow, meaning the doors were opened to the great unwashed.
Which is how we find ourselves sitting in a rather handsome – albeit near empty – dining room, lusciously lavish,
under the stern gaze of a stern painting of a very stern man. The soft, crepuscular
gloom is broken up by the glare of table lamps, indecorously bright, while
a loud soundtrack of indolent, indeterminate beats throbs in the background.
The whole place is scented with gilded ennui.
Our fellow diners are two young South Korean women of pale, luminescent beauty,
clad in diaphanous couture. They don’t speak, rather communicate entirely via camera phone.
Pose, click, check, filter, post. Immaculate waiters hover in the shadows.
We sip ice-cold vodka, and eat a £77 caviar and smoked-salmon Kaspia
croque monsieur that tastes far better than it ought to.
Next door, a large table fills with a glut of the noisily,
glossily confident.
We’re looked after by a wonderful French lady of such effervescent charm and charisma that had she burst into an impromptu performance of ‘Willkommen’, we would have barely blinked.
Baked potatoes, skin as crisp as parchment, insides whipped savagely hard with butter
and sour cream, are a study in tuber art. A cool jet-black splodge of
oscietra caviar, gently saline, raises them to the sublime.
Only the price, at just under £150 each, is ridiculous.
But there are few better dishes on earth. I’d eat this every day if I could.
But I can’t. Obviously. That’s the problem with caviar. One taste is never enough.
About £200 per head. Caviar Kaspia, 1a Chesterfield Street,

Australian politicians are almost always opting to
fly with Qantas on taxpayer-funded trips, despite Virgin offering cheaper tickets.
Federal MPs flew with the national carrier for 80 per cent of
work trips last year despite it not always being the cheapest route, according to travel data
provided to the government.
While politicians and their staffers are required to book the cheapest flight, it also has to
be the most efficient, with Qantas offering the most routes between major cities.
MPs are banned from accruing frequent flyer points on taxpayer-funded trips like
ordinary Aussies can, but they can can receive lifetime
status credits, which allows access to airport lounges and flight upgrades.
‘How else can one explain the extraordinary dominance of Qantas in securing
bookings by parliamentarians and their staff?’ Myriam Robin wrote
in an opinion piece for the Australian Financial Review.
‘There’s nothing like accruing status credits on someone else’s dime.’
Transport Minister Catherine King has since committed to a
review of flight bookings by government officials which will be conducted by the Department
of Finance this year, despite there being just two months left of 2024.
Politicians’ preference for Qantas may also be put
down to the airline’s exclusive invite-only ‘Chairman’s Lounge’.

The Flying Kanga-RORT – why you’re footing the bill as airlines wine and dine pollies in VIP club
Daily Mail Australia in August revealed that nearly every single federal politician in the country has accepted free membership of
the club.
Qantas and the Albanese government have both denied the
airline enjoys any disproportionate level of influence over the country’s
political classes.
A Daily Mail Australia audit of the members’ interest registers – in both the House of Representatives and the Senate
– revealed almost 93 per cent of the nation’s leaders have been ‘gifted’ membership to the lavish, all-inclusive lounge.
The high profile ranks of government giftees include Prime Minister Anthony
Albanese as well as every member of his 22-person Cabinet, his seven-person Outer Ministry and all 12 assistant
ministers.
While most politicians declared their Qantas’
privileges as a ‘gift’, Labor MP Marion Scrymgour listed her membership as her ‘Chairman Lounge
entitlement’.
Daily Mail Australia in August revealed that nearly every single
federal politician in the country has accepted free membership of
Qantas’ exclusive Chairman’s Lounge.
And it’s not just politicians on the take, with more than 60 MPs – including Marles, Chalmers,
King, Bill Shorten, Zali Steggall and Tanya Plibersek – disclosing their spouses have
also been granted unfettered, independent access to Qantas’ luxurious members only lounge.
Often touted as ‘the most exclusive club in the country’, membership to the Chairman’s Lounge has long been veiled
in secrecy.
Even the entrances to each of the country’s six opulent
VIP clubs – in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth
airports – are suitably discreet.
Though, once inside, the designer lounges are immediately more ostentatious, with free à la carte
fine dining, table service, a decadent selection of
wines and Champagne and a discreet army of dedicated lounge attendants.
Membership to the club is ‘priceless’ – it cannot be bought
for any amount of money nor obtained via any amount of frequent flyers
points.
Instead, each member is hand-picked and approved by the company’s
chief executive and chairman.

The dramatic downfall of Syria’s iron-fisted leader
Bashar al-Assad marks an end to over 50 years of
his family’s brutal rule.
Rebel forces ousted the dictator after taking control of the capital,
Damascus, on Sunday – the latest chapter in a bloody civil
war that started in 2011 and saw the country become a
hub for extremist group ISIS.
Assad – who is now believed to be in Russia with his family after being granted asylum by Putin – ruled Syria for 24 years, just five short of of
his father’s time in power. But it was never intended for him
to take control of the dynasty.
Before his political career began, Assad was
based in London, where he met his wife and worked as an ophthalmologist.
But a devastating family tragedy which saw his elder brother die suddenly would throw a
spanner in the works and bring Assad back to Syria where he began his brutal
reign, despite his lack of military or political experience.
His forces have since been accused of severe human rights violations
and cruel assaults against civilians throughout the 13-year civil war, including
the use of chemical weapons against their own people.
The heavily Western-sanctioned and internationally isolated regime has clung to
power until now, thanks to opposition forces reaching
Damascus and recapturing areas on the outskirts of the capital following a years-long siege.

Early years as an eye doctor
Before Assad took control of Damascus, he was an eye doctor in London.
He received his early education in Damascus and studied medicine at the University of Damascus,
graduating as an ophthalmologist in 1988.
Assad then served as an army doctor at a Damascus military hospital
and in 1992 moved to London to continue his studies.
The only official position he held in his home country was the head of the
Syrian Computer Society.

How the British-born wife of Bashar al-Assad became a key figure in his tyrannical regime
During his time in the UK capital, Assad met his future wife, Asma Akhras, a former investment banker
at JPMorgan who grew up in Acton, west London.
Four years after the pair met, they married in Syria in the
same year he took over control of the county – following the death of his father Hafez al-Assad, who died
aged 69.
Assad was thrown into the political fray in 1994 after his
older brother – and heir to the presidency – Bassel
was killed in a car crash in Damascus.
The eye doctor was called back to Syria where he would be prepared
through the country’s intense military training to take on the role as leader.
After gruelling training at a military academy, Assad eventually went on to gain the rank of colonel in the elite Republican Guard.
But there was never any question around who would take
over, as when Hafez al-Assad died in 2000, parliament
rushed to lover the presidential age from 40 to 34.
His rise to president was then confirmed after a nationwide
referendum placed him as the only candidate for the role.

The optimism for reform
After the death of his father, Assad was 10 days later appointed secretary-general of the ruling Ba’ath Party,
and two days after that, the party congress nominated him as
its candidate for the presidency.
Less than a month later, running unopposed, Assad was elected to a seven-year term.
Although many Syrians objected to the transfer of
power from father to son, Assad’s ascent initially gained optimism both in Syria and
internationally.

Assad’s secret escape tunnels revealed: Syria rebels stunned by huge luxury underground network
His youth, education, and exposure to the West appeared to offer the potential of a departure from what the country had been subject to
– an authoritarian state policed by a network of powerful security
and intelligence agencies.
In his inaugural speech, Assad reassured citizens of his commitment to economic liberalisation and promised to carry out a political reform – but he
rejected a Western-style democracy as am appropriate model for
Syrian politics.
Assad began his presidency with promises to fight corruption and open up to the media.
He quickly freed political prisoners and
allowed for a more open discourse, and in the Damascus Spring,
hubs appeared for intellectuals to discuss the arts, culture, and
politics.
But these did not last long after 1,000 intellectuals signed a public petition calling for multiparty democracy and greater
freedoms in 2001.
Assad continued to lift economic restrictions, let in foreign banks, and made way for imports while bolstering the
private sector.
Syrian cities went on to see a rise in shopping outlets and new
eateries as tourism levels rose throughout the nation.

Fears of fresh massacre as Islamist-led rebels set sights on Syrian Kurds following Assad’s
fall
In 2004, the United Nations Security Council ordered Syria to end its occupation of neighbouring Lebanon, leaving Assad
to choose between complying or ignoring the demand.
He decided to comply and in turn ruin some of his father’s legacy which left his family angered.
Assad became a key component in Iran’s Axis of Resistance,
allowing Iranian military forces to operate virtually unimpeded from Iran to Lebanon.
The leader then began to believe that the West was weak, deciding the more he demonstrated
strength, the more he would achieve.
In early 2005, after the assassination of Lebanon’s former prime minister Rafic al-Hariri, Assad – under pressure from Western and Arab nations – committed to the removal of
Syrian troops from Lebanon, where they had been stationed since a 1976 military
intervention.
When Hariri was killed by a bomb while driving in Beirut, the Syrian government was blamed and a pro-American government came into power there instead.

The Syrian Civil War
Some years after turning his back on his father’s legacy, Assad would embrace his brutal tactics
when protests erupted against his rule in March 2011, during the Arab Spring.
While Syrian security forces used lethal force against demonstrators, Assad offered a variety of
concessions, first shuffling his cabinet and then announcing that he would seek to abolish Syria’s
emergency law and its Supreme State Security Court, both of which were used to suppress political opposition.

John Simpson sparks outrage after branding Assad ‘weak rather than wicked’
However, implementation of those reforms coincided with a
significant escalation of violence against protesters,
drawing international condemnation for Assad and his government.
Deep levels of unrest spread around the country which led the government to deploy tanks and
troops to several cities that had become centres of protest.
In May 2011, then US President Barack Obama said
Assad’s regime had ‘chosen the path of murder and the mass arrests of its citizens’ and called on him to lead a democratic transition ‘or get out of the way.’
By September 2011, armed opposition groups had emerged
and began launching attacks against Syrian forces.
Protesters in the southern city of Daraa were shot dead by government forces which sparked
nationwide unrest.
Attempts at international mediation by the Arab League and the United Nations then proved to be unsuccessful as by mid-2012, the crisis had evolved into a full-blown civil
war.
This would then go on to become world’s largest refugee crisis, according
to the UN, with more than 14million Syrians forced to flee their homes in search of safety.

Assad’s atrocities
In 2013, UN weapons inspectors returned ‘overwhelming and indisputable’ evidence
of the use of nerve gas in Syria.
Assad faced calls for international military action against his
government after the alleged chemical weapons attacks in the suburbs of Damascus.
Then UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called the August 21 attack ‘the worst use of weapons of mass destruction in the 21st century.’
The United States said that attack may have killed more
than 1,400, including hundreds of civilians.

‘Iron press’ used ‘to crush prisoners in Assad’s “human slaughterhouse” is uncovered’
The Syrian opposition accused pro-Assad forces of having carried out the attacks, but Assad denied
having used chemical weapons and asserted that, if such weapons had
been used, rebel forces were to blame.
Assad’s tactics against the rebels continued to draw international condemnation even when his forces refrained from using chemical weapons.
So-called ‘barrel bombs’ – dropped from helicopters and airplanes – were routinely used to devastating effect against military and civilian targets in rebel-held areas even though human rights groups insisted that employment of such
indiscriminate weapons constituted as a war crime.
There have also been widespread reports of rape, beheadings, and torture.
Assad was propped up largely thanks to Russia – who stepped in to carry out
decisive airstrikes in 2015 – and Iran, who both backed Syria militarily.
In 2020, Moscow backed a government offensive, which ended with a ceasefire with
Turkey and froze most front lines.
Syrian officials have repeatedly denied allegations of war crimes and crimes against
humanity.
The downfall
Many did not see the end of Assad’s reign appearing in the near future, but just as
his fortunes relied heavily on Moscow and Tehran, so did
his fate, tied to their geopolitical priorities.
With Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine lasting almost three years and
Iran rocked by Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Syrian government’s defences were
exposed.
Rebel forces launched an attack on the northern city of Aleppo,
which the government has held since 2016, and within a
matter of days had stormed the country.

Following her panned performance in the
flop movie Joker: Folie à Deux, the New York City native, 38, is
releasing a single titled Disease, set to be released Friday.
Diesase, the first of songs from her forthcoming seventh album, was teased Tuesday
on the Grammy-winning artist’s Instagram account, as she captioned the image: ‘DISEASE 10.25.’
In a teaser clip from the viewpoint of an approaching vehicle, the actress-singer, whose real
name is Stefani Germanotta, sported a black mane as she ran from it.
Gaga’s label Universal Music on Monday put out
pre-saves for the forthcoming single, with links to Spotify and Apple Music, Variety reported.

Joker: Folie À Deux is branded ‘bleak’ and the ‘most disappointing follow-up’
by critics
The singer, whose hits include Bad Romance, Born This Way,
Just Dance and Poker Face, is headed back to
her pop persona following the September release of her album Harlequin,
which was inspired by Joker: Folie à Deux.
Among the tracks on the album included two new songs, and standards such as That’s Entertainment,
That’s Life and Get Happy.
Like the film, it was not an initial commercial success, marking
her lowest ever entry for a full-length record on the Billboard 200 charts at number
20.
Lady Gaga in the movie played the role of Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix, who earned the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the franchise’s 2019 film Joker.
According to the outlet, Joker: Folie à Deux ‘could potentially lose $150 to
$200 million’ despite studio insiders saying it would break even.
The Warner Bros. film has made $192.2 million worldwide, with $56.6 million in domestic box office revenue, according to Box
Office Mojo.

LONDON, June 30 (Reuters) – Cigarette maker Philip Morris International thinks its iQOS smokeless tobacco product can make Britain a country of non-smokers in coming
years, an executive said on Friday.
Since iQOS was launched in the UK in December, Philip Morris has
found that about 70 percent of users are able to give up
cigarettes, Peter Nixon, its UK and Ireland managing director, told BBC
Radio. That compares with only about 15-20 percent of people who use e-cigarettes, he said.
“It’s unprecedented,” Nixon told the Today show. “We’re very encouraged that products like iQOS are the absolute game changer.”
Whereas e-cigarettes use nicotine-laced liquid, IQOS heats
tobacco sticks, called Heets, to a high enough temperature
to create a vapour but not smoke.
Philip Morris, which has Marlboro cigarettes among its global brands, has applied to
U.S. health regulators to have iQOS recognised
as having “modified risk” compared with cigarettes.
British American Tobacco and Japan Tobacco are also selling tobacco-based “vaping” devices,
but so far Philip Morris is in the lead.
The company sells about 7 billion Heets a year, which is tiny compared with
the 820 billion conventional cigarettes it sells. But Nixon told the BBC that the company hopes to produce 100 billion Heets next
year, a huge jump from the less than 400 million it made in 2015.
“We’re absolutely serious. One day we want to stop selling cigarettes,” Nixon said on the programme.
“We’re moving very fast.”
There are still 7.5 million smokers in Britain, Nixon said, and Philip Morris has hired “freelancers” to help
to bring that number down. These freelancers act like quitting coaches and can earn 50 pounds ($64.95) from Philip Morris for
every person they convert from cigarettes to iQOS.
“With these types of programmess we can get that down to almost zero in coming years,” Nixon said.

Oct 22 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International’s (PMI) shares hit
record highs on Tuesday after the cigarette maker raised its annual profit forecast and beat third-quarter estimates thanks to higher prices and strong demand for its smoking alternatives.
PMI has invested billions of dollars in developing substitutes for cigarettes as health-conscious consumers switch to smoking alternatives in some markets,
including its IQOS heated tobacco device and ZYN nicotine
pouches, which are now a key focus for investors.
U.S. ZYN shipments in the quarter grew 41.4% over the prior-year period, rebounding after supply constraints curtailed rapid growth.
The Marlboro maker has been investing to expand production capacity for ZYN, in an effort to meet strong demand.
The company’s flagship heated tobacco device, IQOS, also saw strong growth in regions such as Japan, Europe and Indonesia, reassuring investors after volumes lagged expectations in the past.
“We delivered exceptionally strong performance, with record quarterly net revenues and earnings per share,”
said Chief Executive Officer Jacek Olczak, adding IQOS growth had
also accelerated.
PMI’s shares rose 9%, and remained almost 8% higher at 11.43 a.m.
(1543 GMT) in New York trading.
The company also enjoyed higher shipment volumes for cigarettes, with higher
pricing also driving a 5.2% increase in revenues from its combustible tobacco business.
PMI raised its forecast for 2024 adjusted earnings per share, excluding currency, to between $6.85 and $6.91, compared with its prior range of
$6.67 to $6.79.
It reported revenue of $9.91 billion for the third quarter, versus analysts’ estimates of $9.69 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Its quarterly adjusted profit of $1.91 per share
also beat estimates of $1.82 per share.
Last week, Philip Morris said it, along with peers British American Tobacco and
Japan Tobacco, would pay C$32.5 billion ($23.6 billion) to settle long-running health-related lawsuits
in Canada. (Reporting by Anuja Bharat Mistry in Bengaluru;

LONDON, Sept 28 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International
(PMI) on Thursday signalled a slower than anticipated U.S.
roll out of its IQOS heated tobacco device, a choice analysts said was positive for its competitors in the short term.
The New York-listed Marlboro maker also said it aims for more than two
thirds of its net revenues to come from “smoke-free”
products by 2030, up from 50% in 2025, as it tries to transform its image from a cigarette purveyor to a driver
of the shift to healthier alternatives.
Investors have been closely watching IQOS’ entry
into the U.S., the world’s largest market for nicotine products, and had been expecting it from May
2024 next year. Reuters reported on Wednesday that PMI
is hiring lobbyists across a host of key U.S.
states ahead of the launch.
Chief Executive Jacek Olczak said IQOS would
launch in four cities in two unnamed U.S. states from 2024, but a national launch would
only come after PMI receives approval to sell the latest version, known as IQOS ILUMA.
The company was planning to apply for approval in October and expected it from 2025, he continued.
“We need to warm up the tyres,” he said of the initial launch, which would help PMI fine
tune its approach.
A national roll-out of ILUMA would follow but in phases,
he continued, adding launching in 10 states in the first year would make sense.
Meaningful traction for PMI’s heated tobacco products in the U.S.
“now looks delayed until ILUMA,” Owen Bennett, equity analyst at Jefferies, said
in a note, adding this was a positive for PMI’s rivals.
Olczak also signalled that PMI’s push into non-nicotine products was no longer a priority.
It recently scrapped an ambition for $1 billion in net
revenues to come from sales of such products by 2025.
Instead, PMI will focus its resources on IQOS and nicotine
pouch brand ZYN, Olczak said, adding it had been too optimistic around acceptance of
big tobacco companies operating outside of nicotine.
PMI also announced updated medium-term targets including
for revenue and earnings per share, and ambitious volume targets for IQOS and ZYN.
ZYN and other oral nicotine products in the U.S.
would help drive an expected $2 billion in revenues
there in 2024, even before IQOS ILUMA, executives said.
PMI shares were up 1.5% on Thursday. (Reporting by Emma Rumney in London and
