ILF Consulting Engineers, société allemande d’ingénierie et de conseil, a été chargée, avec son partenaire Doris Group, des services de conseil en gestion de projet (PMC) pour la deuxième phase de l’étude d’avant-projet détaillée (FEED, Front-End Engineering design) du gazoduc Maroc-Nigéria.
Les études du gazoduc Maroc-Nigéria, un projet hautement stratégique pour le développement et la souveraineté énergétique du continent africain, se poursuivent.
L’ONHYM et Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) ont chargé la société allemande ILF Consulting Engineers des services de conseil en gestion de projet pour la deuxième phase de l’étude d’avant-projet détaillée (FEED phase II) du gazoduc Maroc-Nigéria.
Selon la société allemande, les services de conseil en gestion de projet (PMC) comprennent la conception de pipelines et de stations de compression à terre et en mer, des études d’ingénierie, des études d’impact environnemental et social, des études d’acquisition de terrains et un cadre de mise en œuvre de projet.
Il s’agit également d’étudier le potentiel d’utilisation de sources d’énergie renouvelables pour alimenter le pipeline et réduire l’empreinte carbone du projet, a précisé ILF Consulting Engineers.
«ILF ayant déjà participé à la première phase de l’étude FEED de ce projet d’envergure mondiale, l’attribution de la phase II est une preuve de la confiance de nos clients à long terme ONHYM et NNPC dans notre excellence et fiabilité dans la gestion de projet de classe mondiale» a commenté Carles Giro, responsable régional des installations industrielles d’ILF.
Ce nouveau développement dans le projet de gazoduc Maroc-Nigéria intervient quelques semaines après le prêt d’un montant 14,3 millions de dollars, octroyé à l’ONHYM par le Fonds Opep, pour financer une partie de de la deuxième phase des études d’avant-projet détaillées. Auparavant, la Banque islamique de développement avait contribuer aux financements des études à hauteur de 90 millions de dollars.
Le 1er juillet dernier, à Bruxelles, dans le contexte du Forum Crans Montana, la directrice générale de l’ONHYM, Amina Benkhadra, avait fait le point sur les étapes franchies à ce jour par le projet.
«L’étude de faisabilité a été achevée en 2018 et nous avons décidé de passer à l’étude FEED (Front-End Engineering design) principale en deux étapes: la pré-FEED et la main FEED.
La pré-FEED a été achevée en 2019 et elle a permis d’assurer les grands éléments de la rentabilité du projet, et nous sommes depuis le mois de mai 2021 sur l’étude d’ingénierie détaillée, qui permet de préparer tous les dossiers et tous les aspects techniques, mais aussi managériaux, financiers, légaux et commerciaux pour aller à la décision finale d’investissement», avait-elle détaillé.
«L’étude suit son cours dans de très bonnes conditions et nous espérons être au rendez-vous de ce projet hautement stratégique et très important pour l’intégration économique et sociale de notre continent», avait-elle ajouté.
Le projet stratégique du Gazoduc Maroc-Nigéria, initié par le roi Mohammed VI et le président Muhammadu Buhari, et dont l’accord de coopération a été signé en mai 2017, a l’ambition d’être un catalyseur du développement économique de la région nord-ouest de l’Afrique.
D’une longueur de 5.660 km, le gazoduc transportera du gaz du Nigéria vers le Maroc jusqu’en Europe, en traversant 11 pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Une fois achevé, il devrait être le plus long pipeline offshore du monde.
