Le groupe Bolloré mène toujours ses activités en Afrique même s’il se trouve en phase de négociation avec le groupe MSC pour la cession de ses activités logistiques. Au Gabon, son directeur général adjoint a été reçu ce 20 janvier par le chef du gouvernement échangeant avec lui sur les défis à relever dans le pays, et l’apport du groupe MSC si le marché est conclu.
Le directeur général adjoint de Bolloré Africa Logistics, Stanislas de Saint Louvent a été reçu en audience par le Premier ministre Rose Christiane Ossouka Raponda.
Il a déclaré qu’il était important d’échanger sur « les défis à relever en collaboration avec l’Oprag et avec la direction des Douanes». Il a aussi évoqué les enjeux de fluidité autour du port d’Owendo, et les enjeux de compétitivité qui constituent un aspect très important pour le groupe.
«Nous voulions attirer son attention sur l’excellent travail qui jusqu’à maintenant a été fait par tous ces acteurs» et «notre engagement auprès du DG de l’Oprag pour justement améliorer la situation du Port et le rendre encore plus compétitif», a-t-il rajouté.
Stanislas de Saint Louvent veut une meilleure circulation des biens en toute sécurité et rapidité pour le bénéfice de l’activité portuaire du groupe Bolloré au Gabon mais aussi de l’économie gabonaise, en termes de coût de la vie.
Lors de son audience avec Rose Christiane Ossouka Raponda il a expliqué que « plus la fluidité est importante, plus le coût lié à la congestion est faible et donc, avec bien sûr, des effets positifs sur le pouvoir d’achat et le coût de la vie ».
Rappelons que le 22 décembre 2021, le groupe Bolloré annonçait ouvrir une période de 3 mois de négociations avec le groupe italo-suisse MSC, sur la vente de ses activités logistiques en Afrique. La Première compagnie maritime mondiale, MSC pourrait bien saisir l’opportunité et ainsi redessiner le paysage portuaire en Afrique.
