Job title: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Dakar

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and synchronizing all logistics, purchasing and inventory activities with production operations. You will liaise with the Purchasing teams and cover all Logistics and Inventory activities of assets in operation within the cluster.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and on-time delivery of fleet and spare parts to assets in operation or deployment.
  • Plan materials, manage procurement, inventory, receiving, shipping and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the management team to contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels on sites in partnership with Asset Managers.
  • Carry out cyclical and periodic inventories to ensure stock accuracy and improve their management via the dedicated ERP.
  • Lead the implementation of the COSWIN ERP and train teams in its use.
  • Improve inventory management through 5S, audits and the implementation of visual management.
  • Ensure shipments, imports and exports in compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement processes for new projects.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing and Group Stores functions.

Required Skills

  • Technical expertise in energy production and maintenance management.
  • Skills in performance optimization, contract management, financial management and budget monitoring.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and activity reporting.
  • Negotiation skills, analytical and synthesis abilities.
  • Knowledge of IFC E&S standards.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Excel, CMMS and Project Management.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Qualifications and experience

  • BAC+5 in Supply Chain Management.
  • Certification in Project Management (an asset).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the supply chain function, preferably in the energy production and/or maintenance industry (thermal, solar, wind, hydroelectric).
  • Technical English required.
