Atimex, a leading company in freight between Europe and Africa, won two awards at the 1rd edition of the Africa Supply Chain Awards. These include the Most Successful Air Cargo Company et Most Innovative Maritime Freight Company. These were presented on May 6th at the Pullman Hotel in Dakar during a gala dinner. An event organized by the ALM GROUP as part of its Africa Supply Chain magazine, which aims to reward the best companies in this sector but above all to set a supply chain barometer for them.
Co-founded by a Dad and his Son respectively Mamadou Baba SOW et Serigne Saliou Mbacké SOW, Atimex is a logistics company that specializes in freight, sea, air and land shipments between Europe and Africa. It is based in France and has offices in Senegal and Ivory Coast with dedicated operational teams.
This is how it was able to carry out 124 sea shipments and 306 air shipments during the year 2021. These records were achieved thanks to its digital information flow management system which allows real-time monitoring of logistics operations to the great delight of the customer.
But, Atimex is not limited to international freight forwarding. It offers its customers online or factory-based purchasing services that are accompanied by sourcing to enable them to choose the best product qualities at the most competitive prices in the market.
It is in this wake that it offers goods warehousing services. Indeed, it has 3 warehouses, including 2 in Dakar and 1 in Paris. This allows it to easily carry out parcel collection and distribution operations with the help of a fleet of 37 vehicles including heavy goods vehicles, light vehicles and scooters.
Thus, Atimex aims to develop throughout West Africa in order to offer its customers the best in transport and logistics at a lower cost.
