The French European Cargo Services (ECS) is setting up shop in Morocco. Indeed, this world leader in GSSA (General Sales & Service Agents) which represents nearly 80 companies and serves more than 500 destinations, has decided to gain a foothold in our country through external growth.

The target is none other than Aero Fret solutions, an entity that has been operating in freight and air assistance services since its creation some fifteen years ago and whose majority shareholder and founder, Pierre FOUGEROUSE, knows the European Cargo Services group well for being its historical partner both through Aero Fret solutions and EFIS Maroc, its sister entity and which is one of the Moroccan leaders in transport commissioning for airport operators.

Morocco becomes the second country of direct presence of the European Cargo Services group in Africa after Niger, which is also present on all continents and in around fifty countries, relying in particular on three regional handling platforms.

Let us recall that ECS was built through major external growth across the world, particularly since its backing by the Qualis investment fund on the sidelines of its IPO in 1998. Since 2018, the air freight group has been acquired by Naxicap Partners, another investment fund in the Natixis galaxy.

With a client portfolio including the world's largest air carriers (which it represents as GSSA in several regions and airports), ECS today claims a turnover of more than 1,3 billion euros (nearly 15 billion dirhams) for more than a thousand jobs and transports more than 900 tons of freight each year.
