Australian publisher WiseTech, owner of CargoWise, has acquired American company E2open, expanding its supply chain management offering and integrating 500.000 connected businesses.

WiseTech, the Australian company behind the CargoWise logistics platform, used by giants such as Ceva, Bolloré, and Geodis, has announced the acquisition of E2open for $2,1 billion. This strategic acquisition aims to consolidate its leading position in global trade and supply chain management software.

E2open brings with it 500.000 connected businesses, including major players in the maritime transport sector, as well as 5.600 customers and more than 250 key accounts. According to WiseTech, this transaction will enrich CargoWise with complementary solutions, particularly in national logistics, carrier integration, and supply chain management.

“The integration of E2open supports our goal of creating a global trade and logistics operating system,” explains the group. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Andrew Appel, CEO of E2open, is enthusiastic: “Our products are complementary, and we share the same vision: to improve the efficiency and resilience of supply chains through technology, automation and AI.” Both companies will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes.

This merger marks a key step in the digitalization of global logistics. By combining their strengths, WiseTech and E2open aim to create a smarter, more interconnected ecosystem capable of addressing the sector's growing challenges while accelerating innovation through artificial intelligence and data.
