The impact of digital transformation on transport is observed by the resolution of urban mobility difficulties. Digital platforms are revolutionizing the field by facilitating, among other things, the location of destinations and avoiding traffic jams.
Yango, the online urban mobility platform, is set to launch its services in Morocco, making the Cherifian kingdom the 2th North African country where its offer is available after Algeria.
“We are delighted to launch Yango’s trials in Morocco, starting with Casablanca. We are firmly committed to investing in the country, creating economic opportunities, developing modern transport infrastructure and contributing to the growth of the local economy,” said Yango Africa Director, Adeniyi Adebayo.
According to him, the establishment in Morocco is an important step in the conquest of the North African market for this Russian platform which connects those seeking transport services with the nearest available driver thanks to geolocation. Yango uses its own maps, its own route and navigation system based on artificial intelligence technologies.
Launched in Africa in 2018, the service is currently available in Abidjan, Bouaké, Accra, Kumasi, Douala, Yaoundé, Dakar, Lusaka, Luanda, Brazzaville, Algiers and Kinshasa. Beyond the African continent, Yango has also developed its network in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
