Morocco is strengthening its maritime system to welcome Moroccans living abroad (MRE) during the summer of 2025, with increased transport services and optimized logistical measures.

As part of Operation Marhaba 2025, 29 ships will be deployed across 12 shipping lines. They will ensure up to 520 weekly rotations. This capacity will allow for the transport of approximately 500000 passengers and 130000 vehicles each week, according to the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

Moroccan authorities, in collaboration with the relevant departments, are committed to ensuring optimal technical and logistical conditions. Emphasis is placed on improving the quality of services, both on board ships and in port infrastructure.

To ensure smooth sailing, advance booking of tickets for a fixed date and time remains mandatory, particularly on busy lines such as Tangier Med-Algeciras and Tangier Ville-Tarifa.

The ministry encourages travelers to plan their trips in advance to avoid port congestion and reduce waiting times.

Under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, Operation Marhaba 2025 aims to offer Moroccans living abroad a return home in the best possible conditions, combining efficiency, security and quality of service.
