At the Choose France summit, several industrial giants confirmed massive investments in the logistics sector. Ferrero, Prologis, and Amazon will inject more than €7 billion.

The 8th edition of the Choose France summit, held on May 19, secured nearly €37 billion in foreign investment commitments. While artificial intelligence and data centers represent a budget of €17 billion, the logistics sector is also attracting major players, with major projects in several French regions.

Food group Ferrero has announced a €95 million investment in France, including €65 million to strengthen its logistics capabilities. Two new warehouses will be built in Normandy: €33 million will be spent on the Cléon site. (Seine-Maritime) and 32 million to that of Barentin, near its Villers-Écalles factory. "These facilities aim to improve agility in the storage and packaging of products," the group underlines in a press release.

American real estate developer Prologis plans a massive investment of €6,4 billion, including €1 billion specifically dedicated to the development of 750.000 m² of warehouses by 2028. These warehouses will target the country's main logistics hubs: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, and Le Havre. The remainder of the budget will primarily go toward the construction of data centers, in response to growing digital demand.

Amazon is also confirming its logistics presence in France with an investment plan of more than €300 million. This amount includes the construction of a ninth distribution center in Illiers-Combray. (Eure-et-Loir), a new delivery agency in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, as well as improvements to its existing sites, particularly in Boves (Sum).

“This new investment will support the expansion of our logistics network, while reducing delivery times and carbon emissions.”, Amazon says. Today, the company already operates more than 35 logistics facilities across France.
