For Chad, the development of air transport will help provide an alternative to road transport for the mobility of people and goods.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Chad has signed a Management Service Agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization. The agreement aims to support ADAC in major projects for the aviation sector, starting with the development of a master development plan.
This partnership is unveiled in a context where the Chadian State is seeking to implement its new perspectives for the airline industry.
The country has notably revived the old Djermaya international airport project (about 35 km from N'Djamena) by signing a construction agreement a few days ago with the Chinese company CAMC Engineering.
The new partnership with ICAO should enable the country to benefit from expertise to better configure its airport system, particularly in terms of infrastructure, air navigation systems, personnel capacities, etc. This should ultimately improve safety, efficiency and sustainability, as well as the competitiveness of the Chadian airline industry as a whole.
